Unknowingly to me, my wife intended to propose to me then. But I went ahead to tell her to marry me. Don't even need proposal already. Haha. As for the proposal ring, the pair only cost less than $200 and we still wear them till now even after 7 years of marriage. 14 years together and that's all it matters.
@@joshualee8151 I also wonder what would be my reaction if I was proposed by her. I only learnt of her plan a couple of months later after our wedding that she intended to do so. Anyway, what happened for my wedding was I passed her the money and I didn't have much expectations of details that go into it. My only request was she just need to spend within the limited budget (we were young and poor). Even if I were to do it now, I believed we still want a small intimate and non-pretentious wedding. We only invite those who matter in our life. My advice to the couples out there is to let the lady handle all the wedding detail if you do not have any demand. Guys usually wouldn't have an ideal wedding but ladies do have since they might want to be princess. It's never about the men. The wedding will be successful as long as the brides are happy. So let them fulfill their dream and the men can be the garnish.
Forgot to congratulate both of them for being officially when i finally met them at Gala Premiere on last last Tuesday and I strongly believe Nick is of a very superly suitable, very super wonderfully great guy for my very Hong Ling idol. They are sth like a glue which sticks together and never break apart from each other if I'm right to claim about.
🥂 Congrats to U Both - NICK & HONG LING on your finding of each other .❤️❤️ Stay ever so true & open to one another always . 😘 Wishing U Both Blissfulness always .
Should share the name of that hotel, as a token of gratitude to them for going the extra extra mile to give you a yacht when all you wanted was a sampan. Lol....
Diamond ring isn't a culture. it's a marketing event that is so successful it got embedded into everyone's mind thinking it is a must. The idea of replacing it with luxury watches sounds damn cool (at least it appreciates in time rather than that worthless piece of rock)!
Question: Is it no longer a cultural tradition to give the mother in law's ring? Honest question. I'm an American male dating a Chinese girl in Singapore, and was under the impression that if my mother provides her ring, it shows symbolic support and good faith... but is that outdated now or no? Just trying to learn.
Well, it would really depend on how this is communicated within the relationship! In recent times, most couples would choose to purchase their own rings. That said, we think the tradition of passing down the ring from different generations is definitely extremely meaningful and symbolic!
Sonia sneakily gave a hint to Jeremy… “please propose fast.. no need fancy!”
🤣🤣🤣
We’re sure Jeremy will see this!
