Heads up to anyone watching in 2020 or later...she actually has LOW POROSITY hair. Fine, High Density, Low Porosity. She mentions in the video that she has high porosity hair, but in 2020 she had it tested and it is in fact low porosity. Which explains why she has to squish lots of water into it and why it is always so shiny - her cuticles are pretty tightly closed. :-)
Yes please show us a clipping video! Also I love that you show the evening and next day as that is what really matters...how long it holds up. One more thing, I so appreciate that you show the back and sides of your hair and actually sit still so we can see the textures. Most curly girls bounce and fluff and you can tell how things lay fully. You are doing so amazing with your videos!!
I love your videos! As someone with the same curl type and porosity it is so refreshing to have curly hair content that I can relate to. I sent a snapchat of my TV to a friend the other day while I was watching one of your videos on it and my friend responded "holy crap, is that her natural hair?" Keep up the good work!
This is also well timed (you're on a roll!), as I just picked up a bunch of their products in travel sizes. I had a couple misses with the custard, but I think I need to recalibrate how much I use, and how much water I use with it. I did really like the leave in though, which might be a first for me with leave ins.
I used to diffuse like you did in this video, but it ruined my ends. I ended up cutting off a huge chunk, maybe 7cm so I've just been focusing on my scalp instead. Any tips?
Mattie Sun oh my goodness, thank you for the tip! And thank you for the compliment! LOL, I think my hair is so shiny from doing the curly girl method for a longer period of time. I also occasionally do apple cider vinegar rinses on my hair
Dear Courtney, love your videos! I thought I could share what really helped my rosacea. I use a Swedish traditional soap called Lanolin-Agg-Tval. This alone reduced my rosacea by half in 2 weeks, from angry red cheeks and bumps to just a bit of redness. I have been using it now for almost a year. Another product is Sesderma Azelac Moisturizing Gel with Azelaic acid and vit A.Both products are available on amazon. I've tried countless products before and nothing worked so these 2 are really worth a try.
Hi Courtney stumbled across you today love your content .....I have 3 B ish hair love your recommendations could you do a video on protein products as I to need protein !
Love your hair! I have the same hair as you and I'm going to start the CG method again. I'm in Australia and have never heard of this product so I'm going to see where I can get it and give it a go 👍
Kelly McCarron Oh my goodness thank you! I just checked their website and I am pretty sure that they will ship to Australia. I don’t know how expensive the shipping would be though.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney side note, I'm also growing out my blonde hair and going natural. I'm a natural red head and haven't seen my colour since I was about 17 🙊 I'm now 35 so we'll see how that goes too. Not looking forward to the regrowth and blonde hair though...
Hello Courtney love your review of the inahsi products, have you tried the nexus deep conditioner? And if you have, could you do a video of it in your channel. You have a great channel keep up the good work
Renee Walsh thank you so much! I have a few questions about your hair. Is your hair high density, or low density? Is your hair low porosity, or high porosity? That would help me recommend products to you.
Been loving watching your videos since you have some unique content and I'm a curly-wavy, too! Just an observation, if you have oil issues, why do you touch your hair with your hands so much? You can SOTC with a T-shirt, or do you think that doesn't matter & you'd be just as oily? I'm total opposite as I'm a dry hair lady, never had an oily day in my ife, so I'm just wondering your thoughts. Thanks for all your work posting!
I have been doing the curly girl method for one year this week. It has transformed my hair and it is so much healthier. We have similar fine/light weight hair. On camera it looks like you never have fly aways. What is your best secret/product(s) to keep your hair from having frizz/fly aways?
Wendy Crew Oh my goodness! Congratulations! I’m so glad your hair is getting so healthy! As for frizz, I think that is something everyone struggles with. In the video, I try and get it all up close and in your face, LOL, to show my halo for us. Something that helps with that sometimes for me is to get a very small amount of leaving or gel emulsify it in my hands with water and smooth it over the top.
Grace B mine is the same. I just started the curly girl method and I’m wondering if that’s due to my ends being damaged? The top part of my hair looks pretty good but then the ends get really stringy.
With this application, you just used a custard. At other times, you use a gel and a mousse....lots of products. Why use a gel and a mouse reverses just the custard?
Shawnee Pierce I think she’s just trying out different stuff and reviewing it to see how it works for her and to help others find stuff that works for them. I see a lot of reviewers on insta and RUclips using all sorts of combos of brands and products and I’ve also wondered at times why all the different stuff because once I find something that works I plan to stick to it and simplify but I’m glad she’s doing it because it’s really been helpful for me in picking products.
Yes, and I appreciate it so much! It has been a struggle. But it is confusing, so I just wondered if she had specific reasons for reaching for the products she uses...like based on the shampoo she used or if it was a cowash day. I refuse to give up. I just have to copy her exactly right now.

Love all your videos! Amazing content! Your channel is so informative and cozy. Also you're such a nice person
I'm new to all of this and have pretty long and damaged hair. What are your thoughts on Amika products?
I’ve just ordered their regular shampoo, conditioner, leave in and custard. I can’t wait to try them!
Ooof girl your hair shines brighter than my future tbh
Sha lol! I don’t know about that?!? But thank you!
Wow you’re hair is amazing! 😜 I was researching new products to try and wanted to see what people thought of this brand. So glad to see your review!
I used to diffuse like you did in this video, but it ruined my ends. I ended up cutting off a huge chunk, maybe 7cm so I've just been focusing on my scalp instead. Any tips?
I also have rosacea! Something I’ve found to help A LOT is vitamin E oil under my night cream.
Also how is your hair so shiny?????

Kelly McCarron I understand that! Growing out all my old highlights and then dropping them off was pretty hard. But I’m glad I did it!

This is the best I've ever seen your hair!!
Your hair is beautiful!
I have fine thin hair. What products would you suggest? Absolutely love your hair btw!
Renee Walsh thank you so much! I have a few questions about your hair. Is your hair high density, or low density? Is your hair low porosity, or high porosity? That would help me recommend products to you.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Thank you for getting back with me. My hair is low density ( I think...lol) and definitely high porosity.
Renee Walsh then very honestly I think this line would be BOMB for you! Remember these are super Concentrated. A little goes a very long way.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney I'm sorry I'm not seeing the line of products your talking about..oops sorry...duh me!
And yes Courtney on the clipping for cowlicks I to have one in the crown of my head argh
Jackie Camilleri the struggles is so real!
Your hair is really curly with that product! I'd be interested to know how you like it after a month or so
And thank you for showing us end of day and the next days as well!

How did you get the black orchid on the dyson?
It’s a magnet
Do the products have protein?

My hair always ends up super stringy and won’t clump. What do I do?

This code didn’t work for me. I tried like 30x and even came back here and copy pasted DIRECTLY and made sure there were no spaces. 😭😭😭
