That is what worries me, 20 yrs ago I go my boy Bichon such a tremendous my buddy and learned to read words on flash card, smart, But that's when people everywhere decided I didn't need anything, what I'd worked for and working towards, "block" ... but thought I should have expenses. My boy at 16 over night became old and with seizures the day before playing picking out his clothes....I have so little, now from other's decisions, there was meds that could have given him a couple more years maybe, I could not afford. I started calling searching for someone to take him and give him those 2 years, begging, ... The worst thing I have gone through on top of everything else, Found someone said they would, but didn't I don't think but my boy and I brought him to tears. So people who had decided I should have nothing, thought though I should have a dog, a bichon girl, I'm terrified if she get sick, I can afford nothing and day in day out I still try to get out of what people decided for me not what I had worked so hard to have and not have this. terrified all the way around. Looking forward to seeing a spritely Nook. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Our Welsh Cardigan Corgi of 16.5 years (Ranger) just dropped and laid down on the grass. He could not move without being in pain. (He was just walking around the yard with my wife as he always did. Just a bit more gingerly from his age) We scooped him up and took him to MSU's Vet Hospital. They have 24/7 service. (It is a well known Vet School too) The staff even came out to our car before we even had a chance to tell them anything about our dog. They put him on a gurney and wheeled him in. Sadly they told us it was 'Bloat'. Where the stomach Flips on itself. They said they could operate but our Corgi was 16.5 years old by this point in his long life. We did not want to put him through all of that at his age. Plus they said odds were he would not make it during the surgery. So sadly we had to put him down. We still miss him each and every day since that time. (Oct 22 2017) We still have his ashes in a container. We have not found a spot to put them as of yet.

Pain meds and fluids through your IV should help get you back on your paws soon. It's going to feel very strange without the sound of paws on your floor Hoomum and Hoodad but at least the vet knows what is wrong and wiil get your boy back to you ASAP. I heard from Kane and Brea's Hoomum that Nook wasn't well. I hope that this is nothing serious and soon we will see Nook back to his usual self at the field running around like always.
Pancreatitis takes a while to recover from, but Nook should be fine eventually. It can become serious if not treated quickly, though, so it's good that you got him into treatment right away. Sending healing vibes to little Nook and I hope he's back to his cute healthy self soon.

Other than they had been shaved to put IV lines in ... He is fine in himself now, very hungry as he is taking 'Appetite stimulating' drugs, he didn't eat for 4 days ... He has a concoction of tablets to take, some are sedatives, so not easy to tell how much effect they are having on his mobility ... :) x

Hey Lori. My Sadie had pancreatitis. The vet said it was because Mom and I had been feeding her too much peanut butter. That was the only way to get her to take her arthritis medicine. So we had to watch her diet more closely but she recovered and didn’t have any more issues. When she first got sick Mom and I panicked. I can’t stand to see an animal in distress. Well, getting ready for our snowstorm and the bitter cold. Hope you’re surviving ok. I bet my birds and squirrels will eat a lot during this snow and cold. I spend more on them than I do myself. 😂
@Debra.Justice Oh gosh I'm glad she recovered. It is awful to see them sick or hurt. I just watched a reel on Instagram with a pet raccoon. Made me think of you. I spend way more on my darn dogs than I do myself. I feed the birds but I have so many kinds of nut trees etc. here they have to have alot stashed. You are a very kindhearted animal lover. I sure hope Nook will be ok.
Such an awful feeling when our fur babies are sick & we are hopeless to help them expect to see them to the vet. Poor Nook, I just want to reach out and nuzzle him. Huskies are notorious for touchy digestive systems. So glad he is home.....prayers for good old Nook to be good as new! Love you Nook!💕💕

Poor Brea was a little lost without Nook and Kane didn't look very happy not being able to find a reason to grump in the field. Very glad you were able to have some quiet time and privacy at Jamie's house whilst waiting for news from the vets. Give Nook a hug, we are all anxiously waiting for his full recovery. So sorry Nook has been ill. Pancreatitis can be very scary. I remember when my golden was diagnosed with it. Poor baby had been so sick and we were scared he’d been poisoned or something. We had to be very careful with watching his intake of fats after that, but he did recover. I pray Nook experiences a quick recovery. I understand how empty the house can seem when our fur babies aren’t there🫂🫂🫂 Glad he’s home now. Cheers from FL😺

Many years ago we had a Boxer who was just a great and hilarious dog. She was kind of food fixated due to her life before we got her. She got pancreatitis. Before that I didn’t even know dogs could. Anyway they asked if she had been given a rich meal or treat. I said noo, just her normal food. She recovered quickly, though for a couple of days was absolutely miserable. About a week later I discovered she had actually torn the wooden compost heap open and ate about half of a cake I had tossed in there! Poor Nook, a quiet Husky is a sick husky!

Please be real careful with whatever dog treats you feed to him. Its very heartwarming all his fans send him all sorts of goodies in the mail and so fourth, but he can't eat all that. Please ask your veterinarian exactly what Nook should be eating and stick to ONLY THAT🙏🙏🙏 your fans will need to understand his special needs. Huskys can't eat EVERYTHING!
Oh Sue, you’re making me cry. I know how sad and worried you are. My golden retriever had pancreatitis and the vet said my Mom and I had been feeding her too much peanut butter. My dog LuLu had pancreatitis twice. It is recoverable. But LuLu now eats Purina One Digestive Care. Pancreatitis is very painful for dogs. Please Please Please put him on digestive care food. And don’t feed him anything from the table. I don’t give LuLu or my Abbey anything from the Table. Now that I am doing this LuLu has been fine not sick again. I will be praying 🙏 for your sweet boy Nook. He’s so pretty and so obedient. I love watching your videos. Take care of your beautiful boy. Kris

Hey Lori. My Sadie had pancreatitis. The vet said it was because Mom and I had been feeding her too much peanut butter. That was the only way to get her to take her arthritis medicine. So we had to watch her diet more closely but she recovered and didn’t have any more issues. When she first got sick Mom and I panicked. I can’t stand to see an animal in distress.
Well, getting ready for our snowstorm and the bitter cold. Hope you’re surviving ok. I bet my birds and squirrels will eat a lot during this snow and cold. I spend more on them than I do myself. 😂
@Debra.Justice Oh gosh I'm glad she recovered. It is awful to see them sick or hurt. I just watched a reel on Instagram with a pet raccoon. Made me think of you. I spend way more on my darn dogs than I do myself. I feed the birds but I have so many kinds of nut trees etc. here they have to have alot stashed. You are a very kindhearted animal lover. I sure hope Nook will be ok.
Such an awful feeling when our fur babies are sick & we are hopeless to help them expect to see them to the vet. Poor Nook, I just want to reach out and nuzzle him. Huskies are notorious for touchy digestive systems. So glad he is home.....prayers for good old Nook to be good as new! Love you Nook!💕💕

Thank you for the update, Sue. Dear, lovable Nook will soon be back to normal and the house will feel more like home again. His Besties will be very excited to see him again after he has had sometime to recover. Poor Brea was a little lost without Nook and Kane didn't look very happy not being able to find a reason to grump in the field. Very glad you were able to have some quiet time and privacy at Jamie's house whilst waiting for news from the vets. Give Nook a hug, we are all anxiously waiting for his full recovery. A special hug for you and Bill, I know all to well what it's like seeing something wrong and then having to wait for the vets phone call. So sorry Nook has been ill. Pancreatitis can be very scary. I remember when my golden was diagnosed with it. Poor baby had been so sick and we were scared he’d been poisoned or something. We had to be very careful with watching his intake of fats after that, but he did recover. I pray Nook experiences a quick recovery. I understand how empty the house can seem when our fur babies aren’t there🫂🫂🫂 Glad he’s home now. Cheers from FL😺

I am so relieved that pancreatitis is not fatal. Poor guy so very sick. Pets don't always show their illnesses as well as people. Good thing actually that he was throwing up and being so withdrawn.

I’m so sorry to hear that poor Nook is so poorly. It’s always so worrying when our fur babies aren’t well, and to see such a usually animated Nook looking so sad and unwell is a bit of a shock. Pancreatitis is a nasty thing but very survivable, so once he is home in his bed I’m praying that he will get over it and become the Nook we all know and love. Many years ago we had a Boxer who was just a great and hilarious dog. She was kind of food fixated due to her life before we got her. She got pancreatitis. Before that I didn’t even know dogs could. Anyway they asked if she had been given a rich meal or treat. I said noo, just her normal food. She recovered quickly, though for a couple of days was absolutely miserable. About a week later I discovered she had actually torn the wooden compost heap open and ate about half of a cake I had tossed in there! Poor Nook, a quiet Husky is a sick husky!

Please be real careful with whatever dog treats you feed to him. Its very heartwarming all his fans send him all sorts of goodies in the mail and so fourth, but he can't eat all that. Please ask your veterinarian exactly what Nook should be eating and stick to ONLY THAT🙏🙏🙏 your fans will need to understand his special needs. Huskys can't eat EVERYTHING!

My dog LuLu had pancreatitis twice. It is recoverable. But LuLu now eats Purina One Digestive Care. Pancreatitis is very painful for dogs. Please Please Please put him on digestive care food. And don’t feed him anything from the table. I don’t give LuLu or my Abbey anything from the Table. Now that I am doing this LuLu has been fine not sick again. I will be praying 🙏 for your sweet boy Nook. He’s so pretty and so obedient. I love watching your videos. Take care of your beautiful boy. Kris

I’m so so so happy Nook is better. He did look so down but poor little boy he was in pain. I love how he goes on a tear at the dog park and jumps up on the table so cute.
