On to the point, majority of people consider and shall do, follow Mahavamsa as a very good source of rightly said history, which specifically clears that Ashoka converted to buddhism in the 4th year of his rule, that is 4 years before Kalinga war. The 13th rock edicts also confirms the same & the no. of ppl killed. However, I do understand that your purpose or view point is towards the examinations, and since the books are yet to tell the truth, u cant unfollow what they say. Do respect your view.
