I actually remember watching this video before after seeing Fed X's realistic elevator and honestly, this elevator was much better than Fed X's imo because unlike Fed X's verison which uses comparators (activated by filled chests) and 4 flying machine units, Tomco's version only uses 2 flying machine units and no comparators to activate the doors (which are instead powered by the redstone blocks). So I ended up deciding on making a realistic elevator myself that's based on both Tomco's and Fed X's realistic elevators, but make it slightly better 😁 TL;DR: I like this design more than Fed X's realistic elevator

So I tried building this while watching your tutorial, And, My flying machine worked except for one problem, The right side was always a block behind the left so when it stopped it, it was always one block higher than the left side, no matter which way I made it go.
I don't know what's going on with my elevator, don't think it's touching any block or slime sticking, but great tutorial. For some reason, half of the elevator worked, and the call system didn't work, but I'll figure it out myself, the 2x3 elevator turned into a 1x3 for me lol, THANKS STILL YOU DESERVER THE SUB MAN.

This is great. Been looking for a good Bedrock elevator design for ages. Would it work with the top part facing the other direction, so that you could enter from one side on the bottom, and then keep going in the same direction to exit at the top?
Wonder if this was made since the last one had the issue of passing through the floor. About to destroy that old one and try this for an underground base that travels about 50 blocks. I hope this works!

If it broke it means something is built wrong sorry, id suggest checking the direction on the observers, they all need to be placed exactly like I have, if you need more help lemme know
I’m having problems with the two halves splitting. The top one goes one block up and the bottom stays and to doors stay open it doesn’t take the elevator box up with it ist just the redstone that goes up I need help btw I am on bedrock
Your build is really good but there's one thing. One side of the elevator works but the other side doesn't. The left side Stops almost to the top. Any suggestions?

They should both go up and down, I’d suggest double checking that the elevators not touching any blocks it shouldn’t and that all the observers are facing the right way, an easy way to check this is ensuring that both sides are symmetrical
@@TomcoTwo okay so I did, and honestly at the end when ur at the bottom floor it could be the way the observes are facing, since in your build they go left and right. In mine they go straight and back
So I know that I have already commented twice before, but I found the answer to those questions in your video, so just ignore them. There is one question though that I have for you. I have built the elevator six times, and two of the six times I tried building a building around it, the elevator broke every time I did a building. Can you tell me why? I thought I had the building too close to the redstone, but then I realized it was two blocks away from the full seven by nine square. And I was sure to only use blocks that would not stick to the redstones, like all the forms of terracotta and of Obsivian ( I know bedrock works but I want to make it look like I built it in survival mode). So the question i'm actually asking is, can you tell me what blocks I can use to build my building around the elevator and how far away or how close to it i can make? Also, how do you keep the door shut when you are not in the elevator? like at the beginning of your episode when the doors were shut and you were not in it.
@TomcoTwo one side went up but wouldnt come back down and the other side just wasnt working at all, i fixed it though it was because i missed a spot of redstone dust
Im having issues with the observers not sending any signal for the recall systems, I'm on the latest version as of this post and I'm wondering if it may be a patch or something changed in redstone that may not work as intended anymore? I've been doing multiple tests and it seems to be the case. Any other alternatives?
mojang hasnt changed observers so id check that youve placed them all facing the right way, you could always just use a torch tower or any way to carry the signal upwards if you have too tho

But I ended up using another one of your Redstone signal ports and it all seems to be working fine now. It can be any but it will take more observers to connect them. It can be any height though’!

I would check that you’re not missing the redstone, if the right side isn’t activating at all it means it’s not receiving a signal
