I love my Rowenta Steam generator iron. But a little after a year mine did clog up and would not stop steaming!. I ran CLR through it… took about three cycles of running the entire tank of water through. But it is good as new again. I hope you have a good long run with yours. Yes I heard thumping too. I think your hand was hitting something.
I have the Rowena Compact Steam. I love the water availability and the function of the iron, great steam and perfect pressing, but it is constantly going into non-steam mode when not having been used for a bit and requires a wait of three to four minutes for it to go back to steam setting. I am just saying this to ask if your model, does the same thing.
I have the same model and it is not my prefered iron when I am sewing. I spend more time waiting for it to come back to steam then ironing. I do agree with Kim that it irons well, and I use it all the time on laundry day when I am continually ironing.
I’m sick of irons that shut off. I can’t afford the Rowenta @ $329. I think I will get a one of those mini ones that don’t shut off, I ALWAYS unplug my irons when I’m done, so it won’t be an issue with me.
I didn’t hear you address the Idiot auto turn off feature. Nothing is more irritating that coming over to the iron, only to have it turn itself off every 8 minutes so you have to wait every time you want to iron. Does this Rowenta have that auto turn off? Thanks you so much for this info.
This was the EXACT problem that I have. I understand that the newest model doesn’t have that issue. But I paid about $300 for this one!!! Does anyone know if you can override the auto shut off? Or if Rowenta has a solution for this problem .????????
Any updates? Mine stopped working after just 7-8 months... I used tap water as the manufacturer "recommends" I was hoping it would last at least 3-5 years...
Thank you for all your wonderful informative content. I love the top you are wearing. Can you tell me the pattern please. Sue from Canberra, Australia.
Would you recommend the steam force or the steam station for every home use mainly dress shirts. (Not too too much of a load, but enough that I want a good iron). Thank you for the review.
They are both awesome. The feature to me that makes the steam station great is not having to fill the water tank as often. So, I guess it depends on how long you iron in one day?
I do have a rowenta that is cordless and shuts off by it self. Problem is. It shuts off before I need it. So I end up using my other iron. I wish I had the old iron that you put on the burner of the stove. 😉😃🤣
Hi Thanks for your very helpful video 😊 I would like to ask where did you get your white rack which is lifting for your steam pro iron? I would like to buy same . And what was it under the iron like table or lifting part in the white rack for first floor? Thank you
Here is a link for the cart. It is from Amazon. amzn.to/3ewYJ3J (aff link) To raise up the first “floor” of the cart, I just put a plastic bin upside down.

You will be happy with your steam generator for a long, long time! I’ve had one since the early 2000’s and never had any problems! Love my Rowenta!
I’m so glad you shared. I’m nearly due for a new iron and didn’t know what to get. Any Rowena I’ve owned has been awesome 😎
Hi Kim - thanks for reviewing this! Also, LOVE your top! What is the pattern?
Worth noting that a gravity fed iron is wet steam v. a boiler type which is dry steam.
I've been very satisfied with my Rowenta irons for years. Great review.
Thanks for the review. It would be nice though to do a demo so that we all see how it actually works.

What I’d like to know what the difference is between the “blue” one and the “purple” one. I have the purple one. Love mine, too.

How do you run the anti-calc on it?
Love the Rewenta info. Thank you for sharing❣️

I do love Rowenta irons, but I ended up buying a Panasonic recently, because I needed a cordless option because of where I have my station set up.
Thank you for all your wonderful informative content. I love the top you are wearing. Can you tell me the pattern please. Sue from Canberra, Australia.
My top is the Audrey Top from Sew Over It patrerns.
Love your shirt. Very cute

@@dorothysdaughtersews thank you! Maybe 5-7 shirts a week nothing major. Excited for the steam force - many thanks!

How long can you leave the water in? Do you have to empty it weekly etc?
Love your top, Kim. What pattern is it?
If the red light is blinking. What should I do.
Same question

Can you mount the steamer?
I’m not really sure what you mean? The base would need to be on some kind of shelf.
is model Rowenta VR8324U1 Compact Steam Pro
Paying for the rowenta would be hard!
Dorothy does it leak like all the others?
I have not had any problem with leaking. I think because it would be very difficult to overfil it
Do you have a link for the cart?
Yes - sorry, I was adding it into the description.

The Rowenta Perfect Steam Pro: amzn.to/3BhaxOO
How do you clean it?
The reservoir lifts off and you can take it to the sink. As far as the iron plate, you would clean like any iron. Rowenta makes a good iron cleaner.
Love you Kim
I would have liked to see more iron usage and visuals than watching you speak. You could do voice over while we see the iron in action
Oh your killing me lol . I love it
For some reason I keep hearing a thumping noise on this video.
Thanks for letting me know- I’ll check it out
