Izen Miko What are your other two? I guess the next down on the list for me were Private Nurse and Heart de Roommate. I guess I'm most into Angel Smile games.
I gotta say, your playthrough is much MUCH better than the other LPs I watched. You really put the sad and melancholic feel from the game into your videos. Although it's been 3 years, I'm glad I watched your version of this game.
@ruflexo It does sound like Chrono Trigger a bit, but all songs used in the More to Come segments for To the Moon are from the game itself. They are part of its soundtrack.
rewatching the series, I feel like I didn't appreciate enough of the game mechanics and design! Very deliberate and fun! This is a good game and thank you for playing this Cry.
This game made me cry my heart out when I watched Pewds playing it. You can't even begin to imagine what it's doing to me watching this game again with that voice of yours narrating the story, Cry. :'(
I can't believe I'm only on part 2 and already having so many feels! Cry, you amazingly emotional man. Thank you for playing this wonderful, wonderful game!
Wow, his voice is so beautiful... and he can really match his voice with the mood of the game well... I actually cried... he reads the dialog so well >< Good job, Cry!
every time i watch this cry plays it makes me cry (lol pun not intended) which means it's a great game. i hardly ever cry at video games and the fact that it reaches me on an emotional level makes it one of my top games. and cry makes it better because he adds depth and emotion to the already emotional game. basically the game's great and cry makes it better. thanks man
You know, Cry, I really do love how emotionally involved you get with some of these games. It's a nice change compared with some of the other LPers I watch. Some are too caught up in trying to make it funny that they don't think of the feels, or they just want to tease the people that get feels over a game. I'm emotional, dammit, and it's nice not to be the only one.
holy balls this game is amazing! so deep and unique, the story is pure brilliance as well. if the guy (or guy's) that made this are reading this, i just want to tell you, you're going somewhere with talent like this!
@saltyoceanwater People generally think I'm all 'oh good times giggles' because of how I act, but I am someone who really enjoys and appreciates a deep story like this - very much so.
I finished watching this series a while ago when it was actually being played. Now when I watch this all over again, finally understanding what's going on, I keep crying.
"Who knew an RPG could be so emotional?" I remember watching this when it came out, and boy oh boy do I remember what happens. Good luck future-past Cry.
This story is so beautiful, I had to give it another go. I wish someone in Hollywood would attempt make a movie out of this, but at the same time there's a big possibility they would only mess it up, Perhaps it's better to enjoy it this way? I don't know, but thanks Cry for playing it.
He didn't know an RPG could be so emotional? Obviously he hasn't played Final Fantasy 7 yet XD. Cry, you make the best videos. You have the best reactions, and it's almost like you're in the game. You deserve a churro!
I've seen others play this game, and it's sad. The events that occur throughout Johnny's life, that is. I can only imagine how Cry will react to what has yet, for Rosaline and Watts, to occur. I've cried and seen others cry over this game. A favorite, to say the least. Stay strong, Cry!
Wow. Dude I love your vids, your plays, your whole channel. You know how to use youtube ;). i LOVE ur sarcasm in your playtroughs. Love isnt even strong enough. Like every day when im going to bed i watch some of your videos because they're so awesome. No matter if its 9pm or 1am and i have to visit univerity next day ;) Continue that great work please!
Ah, what more are our lives than just a string of memories flying in the wind? Memories of happiness and joy making us lighter to fly. Memories of sadness and loss giving us the courage, and the faith. And while we may cry, our tears are not long lasting. For we know journey's first steps must begin with tribulation.
Just finished this, really amazing story, would love to see a movie based on the manuscript. Freebird games did a fantastic job. Thanks for recommending this one, would be very hard pressed to think of any other game with this deep a story, only game I can think of is Planescape Torment though this is a very different game.
Also Dr. Watts name is Neil, a reference to Neil Patrick Harris, who plays the character who playes Lorenzo Von Matterhorn. The makers of this game really like that show
If I could have one wish, it would be that I completely forgot about this game and its storyline and replay it again. First time I played it was the best day of my life...
I remember watching this on Krism's 24 hour steam... I stayed for the entire thing and talked to Amanda, Krism and Minx in the chat at one point ^-^ best 24 hours ever spent other than Dlive's 30 hour stream !! (still feel sorry for starting the whole SING TESH thing XD)
@ChaoticMonki things like this allows us to see our more human selves, and be able to appreciate humanity more that's what i like about deep stories, especially in games wonder if you feel the same
You sound so different when reading with serious face. And I agree, this game doesn't need much commentary. Oh, and I didn't have to skip this LP afterall 'cos I couldn't help but play this in one sitting last night (and I was stunned)
10:30 this version of "For River" sounds like a slower and darker tone... Barely realizing this now. don't mind me *PS: this is also not johnny's version it sounds like Sarahs and Tommys Version*
i first watched PewDiePie play this and now im watching cry i have to say they both make you feel way different watching it seeing cry play feels like im watching it for the first time :D
"Who knew an RPG could be so emotional?"
Me, who has played the whole game: "Oh you poor soul, you have no idea what's coming for you."
And Xenoblade.....
Oh god Xenoblade...
"Who knew an RPG could be so emotional"
You have a lot of learning to do, friend.
Did someone say...Katawa Shoujo?
For me it's HetaOni (the first emotional rpg game for me).
Izen Miko Katawa Shoujo is, hands down, the best visual novel I've ever played, and I've played a lot of them.
S. Pak I'd say it's definitely one of the top three, but I'm not sure if it'd be the first.
Although it's been 3 years, I'm glad I watched your version of this game.
his recording quality has improved so god damn much omg
The piano music is the most beautiful I have heard ;_;
Me- Decides to watch this in math class to get away from the boredom
Me 2 episodes later- Bursts into tears in the corner
bet that everyone turned and looked at you like you where a nut.
Literally what I’m doing right now
The Emperor's New Clothes. Wow, being reminded of such takes me back to my childhood.
Cry has a very relaxing voice that is ideal for this play through
DAMMIT CRY! D: YOU ARE MAKING ME CRY! YOUR VOICE AND THE MUSIC IS JUST UGGH!! v.v
That wasn't very nice, was it, Matteo? I am disappoint.
greenpikachu123 damn my fault, fam. Lemme retract that grimy ass comment.
@ruflexo It does sound like Chrono Trigger a bit, but all songs used in the More to Come segments for To the Moon are from the game itself. They are part of its soundtrack.
"doctors can't go to the moon."
*a single tear trickles from david tenants eye*
but...but i went to the moon
Oh god i love you ! That was FANTASTIC ! :D
SamgDraw thank you
B4d-C4t No problem fellow Whovian xD
This game is very serious for a pixel-designed game
Yup :3
HEY
your voice plus the music = me crying i will watch all of the game i have played it already long time ago but i'll watch it again
Idk if it's just me, but those last couple words Cry said hit me hard
rewatching the series, I feel like I didn't appreciate enough of the game mechanics and design! Very deliberate and fun! This is a good game and thank you for playing this Cry.
This game made me cry my heart out when I watched Pewds playing it. You can't even begin to imagine what it's doing to me watching this game again with that voice of yours narrating the story, Cry. :'(
my heart caught caught in my throat when he said River still loved Johnny
River? River Song? DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!
+Kayoss.EXE doctornaut
Doctor Who?
+PureBlueVanilla that is a question that must never be answered
"Who knew an RPG could be so emotional?"
...
...
...
_whispers 'hetaoni'_
Tj and 2p Tj I cried too many times to HetaOni
HeroSam So did I
ahhh, the days before Undertale even existed
:( This is so emotional and the way Cry talks just makes it even more, I kept getting the chills every 2 seconds..
I can't believe I'm only on part 2 and already having so many feels! Cry, you amazingly emotional man. Thank you for playing this wonderful, wonderful game!
The game is really beautiful, but you Cry, you really make it stand out more. You're bringing people in tears.
crys voice just puts so much impact to the characters. it makes me cry because of listening to him
I love watching him slowly realize the trauma he's about to put himself through with this game. This is probably my favorite playthrough of anything.
Wow, his voice is so beautiful... and he can really match his voice with the mood of the game well... I actually cried... he reads the dialog so well >< Good job, Cry!
every time i watch this cry plays it makes me cry (lol pun not intended) which means it's a great game. i hardly ever cry at video games and the fact that it reaches me on an emotional level makes it one of my top games. and cry makes it better because he adds depth and emotion to the already emotional game. basically the game's great and cry makes it better. thanks man
"I never knew an RPG could be so emotional." Cry, we ain't even started yet.
I got emotional already, 2015 and I'm still watching.
I know, right? It's just...I don't know, Cry puts so much passion in what he does, when he's narrating the stories...
Pshh, who cares that it's half 2 in the morning, not like I have to sleep or anything.
Alfred Me too dude me to
I just love how you can take a storyline so seriously, and then narrate with such passion and feeling.
It's really nice. ^w^
I love how his voice is so cheery here, but by the time it gets near to the end his voice just turns into a hallow thing
Rewatching this LP for the third time and just bursting into tears on the second video was not expected before I started my rewatching
holy balls this game is amazing! so deep and unique, the story is pure brilliance as well. if the guy (or guy's) that made this are reading this, i just want to tell you, you're going somewhere with talent like this!
I already started tearing up ;-;
Ideal moves to complete the puzzle, 3. Cry does it in 7 moves, "YES!" Haha gotta love him
"Doctors don't go to the moon!" Haha, I can think of one. :3
Cry your epic. When I watch walkthroughs for games I don't even know it shows how much I like the commentary. ^^
When you said you never thought an RPG could get so emotional, I immediately thought of Ib. That damn game pulled at my heart strings.
After the umbrella link, as soon as John started talking, I immediately began tearing up.
Then came the waterworks, pouring out of my eyes.
"Who knew an RPG could be so emotional?"
I remember watching this when it came out, and boy oh boy do I remember what happens. Good luck future-past Cry.
Finally a commentary that doesn't drive me crazy! I love your voice, Cry :) It suits this game :D
This game is very... emotional.
Your reading makes it all the better.
I cried. That old man, even though he's just something from a game, really touches me.
This story is so beautiful, I had to give it another go. I wish someone in Hollywood would attempt make a movie out of this, but at the same time there's a big possibility they would only mess it up, Perhaps it's better to enjoy it this way? I don't know, but thanks Cry for playing it.
coming back to watch this again for a second time is so intense, knowing the significance of every moment
He didn't know an RPG could be so emotional? Obviously he hasn't played Final Fantasy 7 yet XD.
Cry, you make the best videos. You have the best reactions, and it's almost like you're in the game. You deserve a churro!
You can almost feel a tear building up! Or is it just me? This is so very well made!
Did anyone else catch that how I met your mother reference lol
Sarah Ramirez Must love a game with a How I Met Your Mother reference XD
True XD
lorenzo von matterhorn!!! i see some how i met your mother reference
I watched you play the first part last night, and I had a nightmare from it. BUNNIES EVERYWHERE! AND WHAT LURKKED IN THE LIGHTHOUSE.
Before full playthrough: Gravestone? Huh, spooky
After full playthrough: OH MY GOD RIVER IS DEAD SHE’S BURIED *BY* *_THE L I G H T H O U S E_*
The soundtrack for this is beautiful!
It's wild this was one of the first rpg LP I ever saw and I didn't even know it had a sequel it's wild what you can miss
Was on the bridge of tears when it was close to the end of this part very touching
I'm sorry for your loss, I lost both my grandmas and an aunt when I was about 8, now all we have are the memories I guess.
The music at the end hurts my soul. Hauntingly beautiful
I think the only 2 RPG games that made me cry were 'To the Moon' and 'HetaOni' (i lost track of how many times I cried like a little baby).
Not HetaOni again!!! *cries in a corner* I don't think I ever cried as much as when I watched the gameplay of that game TTT_TTT
Raven Black *hugs you*
*hugs you back* Thank you ^;W;^
Raven Black You're welcome.
These two videos almost made me cry. So impatient to see the rest...
After watching How I Met Your Mother, I finally get the Lorenzo von Matterhorn joke.
oh Dr Watts, even during the sad of times, you manage to try and lighten up the mood.
"River still loves you."
My heart literally broke and I'm trying not to cry right now holy shit who knew a game could make you so sad?
She died for a reason that didn't need to happen, and that is definitely one reason to mourn. Awe Cry.
Aww, River!! damn, im emotional already, all the feels ;.; This is still the most beautiful and heart-wrenching Love story ever
i love the music from this game :) its so soothing and it puts u in the mood of the game
i liked it when he said "did i completely miss something?" and then it just says "No"
that was the moment of the day :D
You do a good job at enhancing the experience.
Just finished this, really amazing story, would love to see a movie based on the manuscript. Freebird games did a fantastic job. Thanks for recommending this one, would be very hard pressed to think of any other game with this deep a story, only game I can think of is Planescape Torment though this is a very different game.
"River still loves you."
*single tear* THE FEELS, MAN! THE FEELS!
Argh, why you make me cry.
Cannot wait for the other parts of this series.
Cry's voice makes this so much more emotional
God this game. The music. The characters. The dialogue. The story. The Cry.
THE FEEEEEEEEEELS.
Anyway it’s 2020 we are midst a global pandemic and i am rewatching this for the first time since i was 13 and I’m comfy. Thx Cry :)
Oh god the dialogue is making my whole week better.
Watching this again really clears up a lot of questions

Geeze, not even an hour in and I can already feel the waterworks starting... Can't wait to see the rest of this.
The Emperor's New Clothes? Cry, you read that, too?! Man, that was my favorite book when I was little!
"Who knew an RPG could be so emotional?" Oh, Cry, you have no idea
@ChaoticMonki things like this allows us to see our more human selves, and be able to appreciate humanity more
that's what i like about deep stories, especially in games
wonder if you feel the same
The part when Johnny talks to River's headstone is like a hammer unto your feels ;_;
I just started to watch this and I'm already crying without knowing anything else but that lonely old man sat by the cliff.
I think that Dr. Watts is the greatest comedy relief in any game I've played.
You sound so different when reading with serious face. And I agree, this game doesn't need much commentary.
Oh, and I didn't have to skip this LP afterall 'cos I couldn't help but play this in one sitting last night (and I was stunned)
This is so sad...
But with you reading it all out?
God, I'm almost to tears Cry.
Cry's voice is so..... Beautiful
I loved how Garry stuck by Ib's side through everything
That was actually really emotional, i almost shed a tear when he was standing at his wife's grave. :(
the music is so beautiful. its perfect for this game.
I have to watch the whole To the Moon playlist again to really understand the story
And I feel more emotional this time...
10:30 this version of "For River" sounds like a slower and darker tone...
Barely realizing this now. don't mind me
*PS: this is also not johnny's version it sounds like Sarahs and Tommys Version*
i first watched PewDiePie play this and now im watching cry i have to say they both make you feel way different watching it seeing cry play feels like im watching it for the first time :D
