Unforgettable, seems like yesterday spoke to me after performing with the jbc boom box in Mandeville Park . He was a friend of the family. He promised to come see us the next day. Was awaken early morning by a phone call ..no answer, call came three times no one answered. The third call a colleague responded ... Miles, your friend is dead ....garnet...I was shocked. I got up, got dressed, and we went to his house . It was a site , the roof caved in. Cylinder blew garnet remains appeared resting over his mom . 😭😭...I even went to the morgue . I was in disbelief. A beautiful soul gone too soon. Just like that. He his plans for his family , his Mom and Hatfield school he attended, all gone. We loved him in life and in death. The smooth silk voice will forever live in our memories.

This is a great post, but I'm not sure that time will ever heal this loss. I have to wonder what Jamaica and the world would have been if he had lived, such was the magnitude of his influence. I truly believe Jamaica would not be on the trajectory of self destruction that it is currently on.

I have always love listening to the late and great Garnett Silk frlm he was doing music in the early 90s. I did not no him in person but whenever time i heard any of his songs playing i cant do anything but to sit back and listen to the reality of what he was saying. I'm not sure about Garnett Silk being as great or greater than the late Bob Marley, neither Peter Tosh. I think you all are over blowing it and just trying to be nice after he's dead. But I will always question what's wrong with Jamaicans and Black People generally? The circumstances of his death, given that there were other people in the room, has left lots of unanswered questions! Were those surviving witnesses interrogated and taken in by the authorities?
