      Definitely worth riding at least once! If you have the opportunity, highly recommend coming to TX to watch MotoGP live at COTA. It is truly amazing to see those bikes in person and then schedule a trackday. Great experience!

    My friend said when he road COTA he was able to flat out gas 6th gear on the S1000RR in the back straight. It maxed at 304k/189mph on the stock gearing. I need to plan COTA one day. I am two states to the west.

      It’s definitely the place to go to stretch your bike’s legs. Worth the drive especially if you can tie it in with the MotoGP race. There’s always a track day the day after the MotoGP race which is crazy cool to witness in person then be on the same track they just raced at.

    This was amazing. Considering we just watched the GP race visit COTA, what did it feel like the first time you ever pulled onto this track? It sure looks awe-inspiring as you negotiate the circuit! I used to watch GP and SBK at Laguna over the years (which dates me pretty quickly), and it was always awesome to see that. Visiting COTA for a GP weekend is on my short list of things to do very soon!

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  Год назад +1

      Thanks Curtis - the first time I pulled up to COTA was last year and I honestly felt just extremely giddy. The scale of the facilities and the track itself is just *enormous*. So its hard to stress how grand the whole thing is. I definitely recommend doing a MotoGP weekend to watch the races then do the Aprilia Racers Day (open to all levels and manufacturers) trackday that happens immediately afterwards. Nothing beats doing a trackday just after watching MotoGP race on it! the Energy is amazing!

    2 questions
    1. How does the rc8c pull compared to the r6?
    2 And would you recommend getting one of these from Kramer?

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  Год назад +6

      - the RC has like 50% more torque than the R6 earlier in the rev range, so it pulls out of corners much stronger, but it also runs out of gear very fast, around 10.5-11k rpm, whereas the R6 comes alive around 10k, you start to feel the bike lose steam around 150mph whereas the R6 actually will keep pulling (typical twin characteristics)
      - completely depends on the tracks you most often ride at, if you ride at tracks like COTA - massive circuits, no I would recommend something with more legs like a 800cc triple (F3) or Panigale V2 in the supersport class or a proper "big" bike like a R1 or V4; if you are on more tight technical circuits, then yes, the Kramer is going to really shine! COTA is the only place where I've felt like I had the wrong bike in some sectors, but where we race and where I most often ride the Kramer is excellent!

    How does the rc8c rides compared to the duke 890r? In terms of the power delivery

    • @vtranmoto
      @vtranmoto  Год назад +1

      It has the same exact motor so it pulls the same way, the RC8C has a different airbox and full titanium exhaust system - which puts out more power vs a stock 890, but from a power delivery perspective it doesn’t really show until you get to the higher speeds.
