I really like how these guys can actually be taken seriously. Top notch musicians, good recording quality, interesting lyrics, dynamic sound style, and a good image. If this is the future of black metal, I welcome it. Ylem: Album of the year 2010 for me, and I can't wait for the next one. God Shall Perish In Our Fire!

It somehow trancends beyond the word music and just sounds...well,dark and mighty.Forget satanic misconceptions and just listen to a pure work of darkness and well written music.Right in your face and punches in the stomach.

@darkv6 And unlike most Black Metal bands, they take a philosophical route when it comes to dealing with religious matters; rather than a childishly Satanic one. I can't take seriously the bands who just defiantly embrace the idea of religion in the hopes of pissing off the faithful.
Dark Fortress, however, deeply question the entire concept altogether.
I'm a deep person and enjoy deep lyrics and substance. In that regard, Dark Fortress stands above the rest.
