How to change/remove Jaguar x type dash and air bag front cover/trim (English)

Hey guys in this video I’m doing what the title suggests. I’m changing my old wood dashboard to a carbon fibre one.

You take off the airbag cover wrong, because of this move people will damage their decors. The metal rod that holds the airbag on one side is rough, it can be pushed with a screwdriver, and in the opposite direction without feeling any resistance. I hope I helped

No I’m sorry but I disagree with you. I feel it’s best to do it from the side that I choose to. If you do it from the other side you are more likely to send the pin into your Center console or hit a window with your hammer.
I just made it look harder as I was trying to get it on all on camera.
Also the pin is completely smooth and will not just simply push out as you stated it has been there for 15to20 years so it will put up some resistance and will require some gentle persuasion

No buddy I just went for it but I would reccomend doing so
