Sir What a great video. I hv 2 questions sir. 1. On Heliox. U were also talking about aHyperbaric Oxygen chamber where it delivers oxygen in high pressure. V know v inhale oxygen normally at 1 ATA( ATA is Atmospheric Pressure measurement) In HBOT it goes to 1.3ATA, 1.5ATA, 1.8 ATA, 2ATA, and so on based our setting innthe machine Now on Inhaling Heliox ( Helium with Oxygen), u mentioned that inhaling 80helium n 20 Oxygen will result in 1.8 it 18 litres of oxygen increase from 10 to 18 litres So here u r talking about more flow of oxygen My question is in such situation, Does Heliox also increases the Oxygen pressure from normal 1 ATA to 1.8ATA or 1.5 ATA or whatever pressure. Pl confirm sir. 2. My second doubt is on inhaling Nitric oxide gas. A. What is maximum level of nitric oxide v can inhale with its flow. B. Other than pulmonory Hypertension, inhaling NO gas will it also help in Vaso dilation of all other Micro Vascular n macro vascular system like help in more blood flow to Penis( micro level vaso dilation), more blood flow to kidneys( micro level) n more blood flow to Heart n Brain( Macro level vaso dilation). Pl confirm. B. For inhaling Nitric oxide, B1. Can v also mix Helium with Nitric oxide gas to increase flow and Increase Nutric oxide pressure like HBOT. B2. Or like HBOT small set up, can v increase Nitric oxide pressure mechnically n inhale it. If so what is maximum pressure to inhale NO for safety sir I am from India sir n kindly reply sir Thanks n regards
Could you clarify one thing regarding MetHb? I just want to ensure that I understand this right. So, INO will increase MetHb (which is incapable of carrying oxygen molecules), AND it will also increase oxygen affinity to normal Hb that is carrying oxygen molecules?
Hey Alex. That's exactly correct. So not only is MEtHb incapable of binding with oxygen, but the increased % of MetHb increases the normal Hb's affinity for oxygen, which results in a decreased unloading of oxygen at the tissues. You can see where tissue hypoxia becomes a concern caused by both of these factors. Great question!! Thanks for watching, Alex!
I’ve heard a very respectable Doctor say that every pt on a vent will have some Phtn. Can you explain the hemodynamics behind positive pressure that would cause the Phtn? Are some modes more likely to cause worsening of Phtn? Thanks for your feedback on my presentation and breakdown of plateau😊.
Hello, I have a question if we have pt on HFOV ( sensormedic) and we want to administer NO , what is the flow we set on NO machine ? Same as the bias flow of HFOV?
Sir
What a great video.
I hv 2 questions sir.
1. On Heliox.
U were also talking about aHyperbaric Oxygen chamber where it delivers oxygen in high pressure.
V know v inhale oxygen normally at 1 ATA( ATA is Atmospheric Pressure measurement)

I've had two heart attacks, and I don't like the side effects of the medications I'm getting. Could Inhaled Nitric Oxide replace those medications?

Sure, I can do that. Got it on the list. 👍
Here you go, Maria! Hope this helps to clarify.

Is INO lighter than O2? I got asked that question the other day and couldn't find the answer anywhere.
What is the formula to get the correct ppm of INO? we are currently using it for cardiac patient

I'm honestly not sure. Maybe another subscriber can help us out! I'll ask around too.
you are awesome!
