In fact bottom trawling on worldwide sea beds releases 1.5 gigatonnes of carbon annually and is similar to the quantity released by world wide terrestrial farming practice or the total carbon created by worldwide annual carbon created by aircraft. As well as that it is destroying the biodiversity of our sea beds.
