Super images, some haven’t seen before.
Great video, good detail and well communicated. Thanks 🙂
Concise and very ‘interesting’. Using and learning a Panzer Lehr Kampfgruppe in CoH RN & separately google imaged the authorized unit organizations. Love me a full medium tank company, US M4 Firefly or souped up Panzer IVs
The motorized infantry (Inf.(mot.)) in general were renamed Panzergrenadier(-Divisions), i.e. Infanterie-Division (mot.) Großdeutschland was renamed Panzergrenadier-Division GD, 1st SS Inf. (mot.) --> 1st SS PGD etc. It really was a change in name only since many Panzergrenadierdivisions never received any halftracks and/or tanks at all.
SdKfz. 251 was not that wide spread. There was only one battalion per Panzer-/Panzergrenadier division in 251s throughout the war (if at all). The only division ever that I can think of which was fully "halftracked" was Panzerlehr-Division in Normandy 1944 (before the Invasion).
Großdeutschland was also pretty numerous in 251s.
Very well explained
You always come up with some interesting and or unseen photos Cheers
Thank you.
Good stuff….
Very interesting! Thank you 😊
