I said the word "female," in a friendly group conversation and people lost their shit. I asked some of my other female friends and they didn't think it was all that offensive.
I've had the problem of being called a snowflake, almost without a reason. I usually don't respond to things I feel are not worth responding to, but you know teenagers, they'll tell you they know you're offended by just seeing you blush. That is something that also gets in the way of things. I rarely lash out, I listen to people and try to get their point. Hope that adulthood might change that, but who knows.
@@ChrisVincelli I think it's easy to blame society or schools... but honestly I think its the parents. A generation of kids raised by I pads and helicopter parents. No accountability, no consequences. It's sad to see.
Born in Toronto, raised in Philadelphia, and live now in Los Angeles for several years. You might get away with wearing a Penguins jersey at the Wells Fargo Center today. But if you would have worn a Rangers, Bruins, Islanders or Devils jersey to the old Spectrum in South Philly, you were probably going to get harassed big time, or possibly beaten up.
@@ChrisVincelli I think there is more of a money corporate crowd at the Wells Fargo Center, and people today aren't quite as fanatical about sports, they don't take it as serious. I don't think the crowds are as electrifying at the Bell Centre, as they were at the old Forum in Montreal. I used to be really bummed out if my team lost, now it is like so what, its not costing me anything.
my skin decides its thickness. Called me a nig*** 30 times this week: K Roasted me for 5 minutes straight for no reason? K Me after dropping that one chip: starts crying like a baby.
There is a lost art in the USA. If I don’t understand or agree with someone’s opinion or actions, I will still proudly stand up for that person’s right to have those opinions or actions. (Unless infringing on someone’s legal rights of course). We all don’t have to understand each other.
@@ChrisVincelli That’s a great question?! I would guess part of it is the internet itself. So easy to comment nowadays without listening, and people really want their opinions to be valid. Everyone looking for validation from others rather than themselves. But as to why? I’m not sure. People have always been offended, but not snowflakes over the smallest things like it is nowadays.

Do you actually think adulthood would change things, though?
My anxiety is boiling over just listening to you talk about stepping out your comfort zone XD
Oh come on now! What do you mean???
Great video my man, much needed advice on today's candy cane world
So true! Why have people become so soft, though?

Why do you feel people have become so easily offended, though?
