I use a new Centurion on a regular basis but that ballast auto drain if the boat isn’t running for 4 minutes is an absolute nightmare. Also, please ad an elbow rest for the driver’s throttle arm.
thats to prevent hydrolock, the engine exhaust riser elbow sits lower than water level with ballast full thus creating a chance of hate getting syphoned into the exhaust manifold/engine
Pretty sure that Monsoon 450 is a 3-4 year old boat and it ran @ 374hp new. Why not say the age of the boats in the video? Like other people commented - we get it this is a Centurion video but we would rather see a line up of new boats with current hull designs and motors.
I have a 2017 G23 with the regular 450 and I don’t think it takes even close to 17 seconds to get to wake speed. That’s a powerful motor it has. I’m at sea level.
I sold my G23 and purchased a Centrurion. The Centurion is twice the boat! Handles better, far superior wake surf wave, handles rough water much better and is less expensive! I highly recommend.
something isn't quite right with this video by judging the rooster tail and engine scream. The wedge on the malibu wasn't correct for that speed. However I do believe the centurion has a great hull design.
The difference in the shape of the wake is night and day between the two. Nautique has the best wake off all boats. 5 second difference to get on plane and up to speed is 🎉, who cares. It’s the riding (the wake) that matters.
@BulldawgMurff - have you rode behind every boat? Or just regurgitating fan boi nonsense? Yeah, Nautique are super good if you like to do feet over head or head or feet flip tricks because of the pop. Malibu is better for spinning and rally based moves as straight up pop negates your carve angle momentum and pulls your rope hand rotation of its flat plane. Wakesetter 23 and Xstar probably have more first time landed tricks then any other.
I have owned both. The Nautique’s wave seems to be better aligned for wakeboarding and the Centurion is more for wake surfing. The Centurions wave surf wave has more length, larger and most importantly has more push. It also handles rough water far better. I highly recommend Centurion.
@pureprotein9597 oh for sure!! They are all overpriced for what they are and compared to other boat types put there. With that said the air Nautique is the most expensive out of all 3 of these boat brand. Especially the paragon! Pavatti is probably the most expensive but shit it's all aluminum not a glass hull. No way in hell any of them are worth what they are just to wakeboard in a circle lol there go fast boat prices and that's insane for a tow boat
@@jeffbryner5355 ikr I look at that wake it throws, and I’m sure it’s better in person. But my 2000 Larson 205 with a Volvo penta 5.0 duoprop and a 800lb fat sack and a few passengers throws a decent comparable wake for what it is. That’s 10-15k setup vs hundreds of thousands of dollars, and it’s not hundreds of thousands of dollars better wake
@@pureprotein9597amen!!! I could maybe see for a surf wake you would need one but now other companies are coming out with them for half tje price. Chapperal has a surf model amd it looks pretty bad ass and definitely ain't 250k plus! @@destroythe180days Agreed, but Moomba's take forever to dial in a proper surf wave and I hate moving lead around all the time on my Mojo. Pain in the arse! Also, I would never go for a 400 engine again. 450 or bust.
@@camtolley yeah that is a downside for sure but I mean I think moombas are better if you prefer wakeboarding, don't get me wrong they have a great surf wave especially the moomba max but it's better wakeboarding wise
No years given , no real transparency of testing methodologies and that malibu's wake did not look right and was definitely running a higher rpm than it should be. This guys videos suck. Make a fair comparison and don't waste peoples time with your centurion promo video

I dig this style of videos!! Cable is cool I guess if you don't have a boat but boating is where it's at no matter what you do on the water
The tabs and how the boats were sitting were much different you can tell by the splash off the sides.
Hmm
Pretty sick video. Id love to see this done with newer boats.

@@jboneill Thinking of selling my Malibu for a Centurion.
I would have liked to see the actual differences in the hull design as to what makes it better, there was no mention of that, pretty one sided.

If you like a wake that shoots you straight up in the air*
Nautique is simply the best. Nice try from this guy tho 😅

Malibu and nat way before centurion
Thanks for your comment dawg
He’s over here saying the centurion is faster but the g23 literally threw a wake way bigger😂
nautique is the best wakeboard boat in the world
There also overpriced af!!!

Mastercraft boat riders 😢
😂
200k plus boats who’s going to cry about fuels?
It’s more about how long you can stay out and time between refueling. Not so much about the money

This is a horrible comparison and its totally biased. Stop pushing your agenda
