I took my Blackstone 36" Griddle top to the sandblaster to remove rust and old seasoning. I then had to re-season the griddle surface, so i made a video about it.
I mentioned in this video that we manufacture a hard top lid for the Blackstone griddle here in the USA. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/dp/B0847C4ZCH
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video!

Way too heavy on the oil. Thin coats is what you want wiped in, not moved around with a spatula. This video shows how not to season a Blackstone Griddle.
Good video, it only cost me $95 to watch it. Thanks for making those covers!!
You had a nice new top. To much oil at once. Should have done light coats and not let it pool.
Where did you take it to get sandblasted? I'm restoring a Venancio natural gas griddle with a 1" thick stainless steel top that needs sandblasting, but the only sandblasting places I have found are for houses and stuff like that.
Did you wash it after the sandblasting? Or just oil it
How much did it cost you to sandblast?
Sorry for the late reply. I think it was around $40 and it only took about 15 minutes if I remember correctly. Thanks for the comment. I hope this helps
Surely if someone is able to post a video on seasoning a griddle, they’re able to watch the hundred videos already posted to find out how to do it correctly.
Where do you get it sand blasted ?
I got it sand blasted at my local powder coating shop
That seasoning coat looks uneven because of too much oil. I’m no expert but it looks like you didn’t quite do it correctly. I’m just putting this out there for people who might use this video as a how to guide.
Use paper towels. Jeez.
Used way too much oil
Yes I agree. Still works though. Thanks for the comment
