Yes it is a very reliable motorcycle but the platform is quite old now you can take a test ride of the new Xtreme 250 which is about to launch in first quarter of 2025 and then decide which will be better for you. #saferide #MotorHead
TVS can't make a lot of modifications on that 310 platform and that's why they have they have developed this new engine and update in rr310 was to bide for time cause new bikes are some months away.
The RTXD4 might have smaller throttle bodies than the older 310 engine which is restricting it to reach higher rpms (9800 (310cc) vs 9000(300cc)). TVS might have done this to increase low end - mid range torque and throttle response . Also the reason to create this new engine of similar capacity to the older engine is because of the refinement issues of 310cc engine.
Agreed with your point that 310 engine has refinement issues but in their latest update with the RR310 they pretty much addressed the issue to a much lower vibrations. The context of the video was when the market demands a 400cc engine from them why they again choose to stick to a 300cc single? 310 complaint is vibration and too many unnecessary technology amd stuff. For a 310cc starter sports bike- switchable abs, quickshifter, slip n assist and ride modes are enough, thats it, but 310 has loads of technical stuff which is not that important.

Brother new X pulse 210 will be a 25bhp which is not entry level by any means for India, and i am sure they will bring the X pulse 250 version also which will be a 30bhp. and for proper off roading you would appreciate low maintenance and such capable chassis and suspension with Hero's wide service network. @Basudebmoulik BMW and TVS are in a strategic partnership to develop sub 500cc motorcylces. The whole context of the video was when TVS is developing an engine in 2024 for their adventure motorcycle they could have went for a 400 or 450cc engine instead they choose to develop a 300cc when the tike demands atleast a 400cc. And if they developed a 300cc then why not a multi cylinder or atleast matched the power with the updated 310 engine which would have a unique selling point. #saferide #MotorHead
@MotorHead-Shinjan bhai the market for 400-450 segment is very challenging. Only royal enfield can crack such a mid level market. If u see that even hero is struggling in that segment with the harley and maverick 440. Also a bike of 400-450 cc would cost nothing short of 3 lcs which gets a bit difficult for a company like tvs to attract audience.

@MotorHead-Shinjan misinformation was about singles bigger than 650 and 9k rpm cause their are singles which are bigger than 650 and that 9k rpm limit not true. What you said was not wrong but how you said was wrong, you made it sound like a single cannot be more than 650 or rev more than 9k , you should have said it like as you increase size of cylinder vibes and heating management becomes and stress on parts also increases which shortens their life so it makes making big single hard not that it's impossible.

Before COVID period bikes bigger than 200 were rare sight and 400cc segment bikes were seen as big bikes and sales were not all that much impressive so developing a 400cc platform was not so feasible. But after COVID people started to buy these big bikes and bikes like speed 400 made it affordable to own a 400 so this 400 streak is really new . In India we ask about milage first before anything and a 300 will be more fuel efficient then a 400 and it's a big deal for many people and it's not like there is no market for a 300cc it just that their is no good bike in that segment which competes with 400 . And most importantly it takes a lot of time and money to make an engine from scratch. Just imagine a 300cc bike which looks good and can keep up with 400s and is more fuel efficient and lighter than most 400s . So such a bike makes some sense right.
