Unboxing our new 4x8 jd squared mad plasma table with stainless steel water bed! www.rohdefabrication.com blazingcustomz@hotmail.com Thanks for the continued support!
From the first bagged bodied Nissan hard body build video to a great big ol plasma table. Wish the truck was still involved with your videos, but completely understand why it's not. Then to now, your doing awesome man! Keep it up!!
There is a company that makes an additive, called kool quench i think, it keeps your material from getting rusty after it gets wet. We use it at my shop and it works great. I'm not sure the ratio but it will for sure save your rails from getting rusty
Actually purchased whats called green cut a few months ago, which is alot safer than the plasma quench for heath risks. Been working great, no rust, cleaner parts, and cooler as well.
@@scrapingpavement have the same JD table. If you search through the Green Cut ingredients, it's just 'xxxx' Glycol (can't remember off the top of my head). Basically antifreeze. If you get the right one, per the green cut ingredients. You can just get 5 gallon buckets of that and save a pretty good bit.
Almost 4 years running now. Nothing has broken on the machine itself, still cuts to every dimesnion. Every once in a blue moon ( few times a year ) i have to reboot the system, although i think thats on the computer side. Still would buy this unit today. Although i would buy it with the pump system for the water as cleaning the table is a bit of a pain draining it and refilling it.
Still going strong! Added the pen and engraver attachment awhile back, pen attachment was somthing I never knew I needed lol comes in handy. Table has worked pretty much flawlessly, I guess the only thing that would have been nice as I just did a clean out last week. Would be a slight tapper to the water bed for easier draining, its flat so the last bit of water has to be soaked up or sucked up.
This is the guy u ran into at the metal yard with his mom a few months ago u probly dont rember me how much u want for your old machine? If u still have it?
That's why I haven't started on it. We plan to move to a local shop within a year for buisness, then will have the shop back for our personal projects!
scrappingpavement just read response, be careful. if the shop is too big or lots of parking, project tends to become projects, i had a small shop, and somehow i now have 6 project cars. got out of shop and now have everything in my back yard. good luck, i'm sure with your work ethic and quickly advancing mechanical knowledge you will do great. my only drawback was having a child, time disappears quickly and work doesn't get done as quickly as you want. once again, good luck, you can do it.
@@williamwebster213 great advice. I had a large shop also doing upholstery then moved to a small shop and that was a lot of adjusting. Now i work out my house with overflow in my back yard. Either you don't have enough for a large shop or to much for a small shop. Seems like there is never a middle size shop that is just right. I am comfortable at home, no more shops for me. Oh, i do upholstery.
Still using the same torch ( thermal dynamics a60 ) eventually will upgrade to cut thicker. The features on the new table help cut quality with motorized Z. The bailiegh came with software which is super easy to use and has great tracing features. The jd only came with software to create g code and run the table. Nothing to design so you will need a software program. I've been using the bailiegh software to design until we get it sold off.
According to the manufactures website it weighs 2,000 pounds if it is a 4x8 table, the 5x10 weighs 2,900 pounds. Still heavy duty though compared to most in it's class.
The gantry looks extremely heavy. Takes a lot of power to move something like that quickly. Most steel comes in 5x10 sheets. Why didn't you get a 5x5 or 5x10 table ? Do you get all your sheets cut down to 4' wide ?
Has been working flawlessly and can move 1000+ inches a min. We have no problem getting 4ft wide pieces from our steel suppliers. Thanks for the comment buddy🤙

@@scrapingpavement I may have to look into that. The quench is quite expensive for our application.
Green cut isnt cheap either and comes out of canada. Cost me 225$ shipped for a 5 gallon bucket.
scrappingpavement I think kool quench is $400 for the keg, I think it’s 30 gallons. But our table is 8’x12’ so it’s pretty big

You can use this plasma table to make more plasma tables and sell those to pay for this one.
Hey man I went to jd2 and checked out their shop we are thinking of buying a 5x10 are u happy with the product or would u go another route

Look at min 3:00, for a moment I though you purchased a boat!
It totally does, never picked up on that lol.
Now that you've had the JD2 table awhile; what do you think of it? Thanks.

scrappingpavement awesome, making enough to pay for the shop? looking forward to upcoming vids.

Hi my is Carlos from Puerto Rico how much for the plasma cuter with shiping to Puerto rico
How is the cut quality compared to the bailiegh? How do you like the software?

Thanks! What model plasma are you using?
Thermal dynamics a60, have cut up to 1/2" steel with some Kerf. We plan to upgrade in the future to be able to cut even thicker.
@@scrapingpavement zero slag with that thermal dynamics plasma you have. Impressive
Hard to imagine that table weight is 2700 pounds.
Yep that's one of the reasons we choose this table because how Beafy it is built.

How did you get it off the wood Pallet?
Had to rent a fork lift to unload off trailer and get into shop. Used a couple floor jacks to get it off the pallet
That garage got small real quick.
Right!?! Should be moved out to a shop before next summer!
Price?
16k + shipping
