Before Rochester I lived in Schenectady, where all of their big 3 TV TV Stations played musical chairs with the networks. Channel 10 went from CBS to ABC; Channel 13 went from ABC to NBC; and Channel 6 went from NBC to CBS.
@CelesteK accordinding to wikipedia, WROC kept pre-empting their NBC programming, and NBC was very intolerate about stations preempting their network programs at the time, because NBC was the most watched network in those days.
