A rather sad rendition of a person, who suffered emotionally, as a result of former trauma. We don't really understand, what is happening until a revelation at the end. A rather difficult watch, if you've been afflicted with emotional trauma. The acting is quite good and the main characters likeable. It is well-produced.

Agreed! the ACTING is outstanding and casting ON POINT. Hard to watch but it's a good reminder to remember the unfortunate challenges of a good percentage of the human race.

I also concur. absolutely. I get the reliving the experience as latent memories of the trauma he must have witnessed at the age of six, but the weird writer and the cop visiting the Inn proprietor at the end was strange .... I can only assume the Inn staff covered it all up (the bodies had to be disposed of...etc..) and the cop was doing a follow up thirty years later (?) Where the writer fits into all that I still find a mystery...

As a person who experienced trauma in her childhood, this movie definitely did trigger me some but I knew that going in. The comments on here seem pretty much like life, the people who have never been through severe trauma. Have no way to understand the severity of damage. That is done to the psyche, and how life long the effects are. The best we can hope for is a good therapist and perhaps some medication to keep us from wanting to die. Sad but true.

    • @Deebz270
      @Deebz270 Месяц назад

Therapist? Medication? SO AMERICAN.... Where would I find those in Gaza ?
I was mentally abused as a child, it was long -term trauma and I've still got a few bones left rattling in the closet... But the state of the human depravity witnessed today, on our mobs and screens way overshadow any of my childhood traumas...
It would be a relief to not wake-up in the Groundhog day existence anymore....

Choking was his fun time. Nothing you say is news to others who also know trauma. And i am 63. You keep going. Not expecting sympathy from others. It never comes. Why dwell? It brings pain.Just focus on you and healing. Live in the moment not past hurt.

      You get it right?
The couple k I ll ed

      screaming from the
      neighbors but when the
      cops arrived the couple
      had disappeared leaving
      a son behind. And the
      son witnessed their murder
      just repressed the memory.
I guess he grew up and
      took his girlfriend to the
      last place he remembered
      his parents taking him last
      then he starts recalling his
      memories when his parents
      were murdered. Great film
