I really love to help the elderly people, would like to watch them smile, laugh and express their satisfaction on the assistance given to them.really love this👍
I worked for them a long time ago (the company's name changed since because I think the sisters took over the business from their mum) and I loved them. They truely care about each and every client of theirs. Here at this company was the first time I've ever experienced a real person centered care. As I often worked on my own with the clients I always looked forward to going to the office on Thursdays to pick up my rota and have a nice chat with everyone there. The only reason I left the company was because I moved away from Edinburgh. If I lived there I think I would still work for them. I am so glad that they keep inspiring carers and looking after the vulnerable even today. Being a carer is a career!
Hello) I would like to get a job as a live-in caregiver in the UK. Please help me to clear and understand some things. I have a permanent residency and a permit to work in the UK. Originally I am from Ukraine and right now I am here in Ukraine. Is it possible to find a client through an agency remotely, or should I come to the UK first? Of course it must be better to come to the UK first, so I could meet people for interviews etc, but I can't afford to rent a flat for a long time. I think I can rent a room for about two weeks, do you think it would be enough to find a client during this time? How should I act?
It’s not just the logging in and out it’s also the notes you’ve got to type up as well and get them uploaded b4 logging out, especially when ur on time restraints where a client has complex needs
How u are do this friend is the company manager teach every single carer how to do loge in and out?I'm wondering because im a new carer and also very nervous how can i do that is the job is very hard?
When I first did care over 40 years ago. We had no lifting equipment! We literally physically lifted clients ourselves. No wonder nurses, carers etc suffered with bad backs etc.
Agreed 100% we are NOT just carers !!!!! So sooo very much more!!! What a great video! Watching over here in Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 and it amazes me how things in the home /healthcare world is quite similar no matter what side of the globe you live on! 💞💞💞
That's why someone has started an epetition which needs to be shared as much as possible. Take a look at the epetitions and search 'carers pay'. It's a disgrace that many give up their livlihoods to care for family and the pay does not reflect the the care the government says it has for those who do the care. There used to be a carers calculator by which someone who was thinking of caring could check the value the government put on someone caring for a loved one. In 2012 it was £150.000. The carers website I believe was removed.
In healthcare, many medical professionals don't care for pay as much as they care for the patient. It's a beautiful profession full of caring souls and I respect all of them. From medical coders and transcriptionists to MD's.
Carer here y know its a choiche not a job and helping a client is 95 % more of putting socks washing hair cleaning shopping and 5% cleaning there privats
Thank you for sharing this - Carers deserve more credit. We tried care homes, they were terrible. Then we decided to use an agency called AICS Group. They were amazing. They allowed mum to live at home in the way she felt she had full dignity and independence.
Being a personal support worker and taking care of people and having to lift them, bath them and clean shit and don’t get the pay that you deserve is ridiculous!!!! Without this pandemic now, PSW wouldn’t be recognized or would not be getting that extra pay rate. Crazy that a pandemic had to happen for these hard working individuals to be recognized
Hello You are doing a heartfelt lovely job. How can I join your team. It reminds me of my grandma, i was her carer at 19years ... my family couldn't manage, she had multiple myeloma.
I’m looking forward to work in a care home here in elgin Scotland 🏴 soon after I get my visa..Would love to care elderly 🥰 I have no experience at all but I want to learn positively ❤
I’m doing a level 1 course in preparing to work in adult social care. I can get a interview as a HCA in a hospital or as a carer in a care home. I have one quick question do carers in a care home have to wash and iron peoples clothes? I’m asking because I suck at ironing haha.
Me I really want to taking care of elderly people ilove them specially my parents passed away when I'm youger at 7 years in my age since that I treated elder like my own parents were ever they are I go as a caregiver/ health care workers
The problem that I am running into when trying to search for a video is everything is about the elderly. I have nothing against that but what if young people needed help they need to make a video if younger people needed help so I and other people can relate to it too.
Care companies and councils do everything now to knock the compassion and empathy as a carer towards your client out of you, councils see clients as a burden, a drain on society, care companies see clients as a commodity something to boost their bottom profit line.
Carer and nurses should be get high paid .as usual any hard job like cleaning, sweeping , construction, fire fighters, lorry driver should get high paid as well than any other job
My daughter is a domiciliary carer.for a private company...she can't get enough hours..Shame ,she's been at various companies for 17 years & she's great.Their calls are 1 hour .She had to do CPR on a man ,go above & beyond her hours when a client was taken to A& E ,the 4 hour wait there didn't warrant extra pay or petrol money.😮.The demographic is mostly 80 years plus so inevitably clients pass away & despite much local advertising aren't replaced .She absolutely loves her work.
Its the burning question! government and law see everythink even there is a Regulation of a single animal but there is no right of parents to Their Children. In islam parents are got respect from Their children.
The biggest problem in care homes is the pandemic of ABUSE in them. Every single care home. If you have a family member in a care home. Get them out. The staff are only nice when you visit.. they leave them on commodes next to their beds for so long they call the police. They sit asking for the toilet for two hours ignored by staff. They have bed sores. They are not listened too when they are in pain because they have dementia. Non of the staff want to to be there. The gardens you see are like north Korea... The residents don't get to see them Because they have to stay inside hotel California all day. The gardens are for show.
Don't forget that careers are also people. Be kind on the internet, careers look after the most vulnerable people in our society and we should take care of them.
Black american carers take their anger at europeans out on people who cannot help themselves. I would never allow anyone to be assigned to a facility where they were the majority of staff.
I absolutely love this. No matter where you are a caregiver, it's all the same. I love being a caregiver.
I really love to help the elderly people, would like to watch them smile, laugh and express their satisfaction on the assistance given to them.really love this👍
Just started in home caregiving. Watching this gives me inspiration and relief to know I am not the only one who feels these things
I’m a carer too and wow these amazing people make me love what I do even more!!!!!!!!!
Carers are angels
Aww thank you ❤ it means a lot
As a carer myself this is absolutely spot on 😁. It's so much more then a job.
Angels on earth. Bless you all. We cannot thank you enough.

Carers do a lot more than they are paid ....imagine being paid minimum wage to clean someones poo

Carers should be paid more because they are angels to people who need them and care for them
I'm really in love of putting smiles on people face...
Wish I could a job
