Up next is my review on one of Penhaligon's Middle Eastern type scents in their library, this is none other than Penhaligon's Cairo! Today i'll break down Cairo into an easy to understand review; I'll talk about scent development, performance, usage, and comparisons with other middle eastern scents you may already have. Enjoy!

Did you try something from christian provenzano 's own line ? Apparently patchouli noir / intense is good

I smell a less aggressive version of Montale's Intense Café.
I find Cairo to be similar smelling to Fdb NY 5th Ave. Is it just me? Maybe it’s the rose..

Try Shaghaf Oud Aswad. I have Shaghaf Oud aswad. I work for Penhaligon's and feel like Shaghaf Oud Aswad is similar. Cairo is a bit brighter but personally I prefer oud aswad (so far) which reminded me of Midnight Poison Dior when smelled in car after. Also when I wore it I got compliments straight away. It's gorgeous and very affordable. You can also try Lancome Oud Bouquet. Another is Shaghaf Oud, has the same dustiness (which also own). All great for cold weather in the UK!
