1939 Lincoln Zephyr - Part 8: Paint Job

- Blocking down the Zephyr to get it ready for paint before putting it on the trailer to take it to the booth. Wet sanding the dash and painting it black. Hauling the Zephyr to the paint booth for masking and cleaning the car before paint. Spraying base black, Root Beer Candy by House of Kolor and finishing it off with 4 coats of clear.

This man in my opinion is the best there is in the car business. Yes theres a lot of good ones , but Mr Bellows is the absolute best. I enjoy watching him work. Hes so for real and down to earth . Yes best at what he does and a good heart too.

Bodywork and prep is probably the most underappreciated part of building a car. It takes a highly skilled artist to get it right, and you definitely got it right! The final product is outstanding, great job!!!

What a beautiful car. Perfect. My parents bought a new 1960 Olds that was that color body with a white top. It was so pretty and the best car I have ever driven. This Lincoln is a car for the ages. What a masterpiece. It makes my eyes feel good.

Even Before a final cut and buff that clear laid out flatter than most shops cut and buffed clear over wet sanded base coats. Absolutley Killing it!!!!!

I loved watching you prep the car. A lot of you tubers don’t use a guide coat either. I went ahead a nd subscribed to your channel. I own a shop in South Houston. It is very large and I own the junkyard across the street. My Dad and uncl started me at 12. I can do body, paint, freehand pinstriping,, motorworks, building custom chassis’ and when I am finished with a car, I have rich people waiting to pay six figures. Keep up the good content. We play you tubers all day and nite in the shop. I had to ban Bad Chad. Notalent

I'm doing exactly the same thing on my 41 Cadillac Coupe Custom... Been in the car bodywork game for over forty years and was taught by Rolls Royce coachbuilders back in the early eighties and then became a demonstrator for Dupont and Akzo Nobel...... This is a dying art now as the youngster's don't want to get dirty and dusty today.... Love your work... greetings from the UK.
Excellent job showcasing all the struggles with bodywork. All these "how to" shows of spreading and sanding bondo show you how to spread and sand on the top of a fender with easy access in ideal conditions. You are showing the need to modify blocks, shitty access to the hood sides to fender so you cut up a block, you don't hide the fact that you need to do a wipe with glaze here and there re-prime get back at it... anyway, Thank you for being honest, you and your team are amazing, having fun even though it is indeed difficult back breaking work and seems to be never ending, keep up the good videos you have a viewer for life within the first 4 min.

Holy Smoke Batman, when the painted product backed out of the booth and into the light, what a sight! Those older cars have some beautiful and unique lines, unlike the cars of today, some brands of which are which, are hard to distinguish one from the other.
