Australia should change their laws to keep infants and toddlers rear facing up to 2 or 3yrs old. They should not be forward facing, that is so unsafe for their necks and spines.

The harness has to be threaded through the insert and you have the seat mat upside down and back to front

If your kids 3 and doesn't fit this seat then probably look at a different car seat.
Can it be installer without the top tether? Some cars don't have top tether.
No, you'll need to get the mounting points installed by a mechanic. Keed the kids as safe as possible

Bit hard to find them as once they are bigger they won't fit the capsules and I haven't seen any toddler rear facing seats in baby bunting
