Clarification: After you're done placing a squad on the map, they don't need to be within 8 inches of each other for the whole game, they can split up. Also the rules are 100% free on their website.
@@negative6442 you still need to do alot of spending & painting to get a army going. With this game it seems like around 5 to 8 models are enough for a fun match.
@@Harpy_Explains lol I know, but I don't play those so my brain thought "war sim" - the only word I associate with anything on the table is "tabletop".
Hell yeah! Hands down one of the best explainers I've seen for the Blkout Rules! Some things to note, though. The first is that there have been changes to cohesion (mainly the removal of it) introduced in some updates to the core rules. Second is if you like playing with Dusters I highly recommend looking into the expansions. Wetwork, Badlands, and (most importantly for Dusters) Impact add more scenarios, and even new rules to play with Dusters. Anyway, happy gaming!
YOMI Hustle menu theme? This man knows what's up. Also, this is a super interesting video on a game I've never heard of and am now newly interested in. Appreciate you.
Really nice video, but I do have a few things I'd like to point out. First, specifically against infantry, blast weapons actually work a little differently. Infantry models actually get to roll against each success from a blast weapon, even if they could only roll one or two dice normally. They explain this in the additional rules walkthrough on the game's official youtube channel. As for dusters, blast weapons are basically direct fire like any other weapon. Second, at least in the version of the rules I'm reading, only grunts and not specialists get to use armory items.
Well the short video on how to play was very helpful though as im already super behind on painting battletech mini's not sure ill get these physically but on table top sim ill get them

@WladcaPodziemia they have the best armor saves, which makes them the most likely to not die when hit. Their force rule is that they ignore the first hit from explosives. They have models with shields and a juggernaut model that has 2 health.
@Vash001 the video is filmed in tabletop simulator. Once you buy the game, you can play blkout and basically any other popular tabletop game for free on the workshop
Hey mate just thought i'd ask to be sure cause from what I understood for armour checks the left number is the amount of die you roll per hit so long as it isn't a ace
The number on the left is the total number of number of hits the model can block. So if the number is 1 and the model gets hit twice, it can only attempt to block 1 of them, and the other will hit them The number on the right is the number you need to roll at or above to block that one shot Rolling a 10 counts as two hits which is an insta kill against most models, because most models can only attempt to block 1 hit.
@Harpy_Explains thank you very much! I enjoy your videos but I never seemed to see it said somewhere! And please but the outro song into the description to! It's a banger and I have been listing for past days now!

Definitely sound like a fun game. Shame I've no one to play with.
I still refuse to acknowledge that this game is real and it is a manifestation of the entire collective schizo TFall fans that made it happen.
