    I can't believe I'm just now finding you guys!! So many CFM podcasts out there but you are now my favorite! I actually found you while listening to a BOM podcast that showed up in my feed, and I loved listening to you talk about a Sister Jensen(?) in your ward that makes the bread for the weekly Sacrament service. Is it possible you could connect me with her? I would love to do the same, and am curious about her recipe and the extra steps she takes every week to make her kitchen a sacred space and the bread truly an emblem of the Lord's body. Thank you.

      I (Mike) am going to (hopefully) write my dissertation… But Bryce and I plan on getting through the gospels and into the epistles. That’s where we started, late in the New Testament. After that, I am hopefully going to catch my breath.

      @@talkingscripture all the best with your dissertation. I’m sure it will be brilliant! It will be kind of fun to see how we look at the New Testament a bit more open-eyed now that we’ve had such a rich Old Testament study. But it’s funny I say that because weren’t we always supposed to have had a rich study of the scriptures every year!?! This last four years have been life-changing for me gospel-study-wise. And you both have been such a big part of that. I feel like you’re my friends and I have really come to appreciate and love you both. So I look forward to whatever time we have left together and will probably re-listen to all of the podcasts every year. Thanks again for all you have done and continue to do for us.

    5:15 exactly correct, this is why our grammatical structure of the Book of Abraham and Book of Mormon is Semitic and d not Egyptian, even facsimiles are complained to be funerary hieroglyphs which originally it was but that is what Joseph had on his sarcophagus and Jews would have reinterpreted or repurposed the meaning because though Joseph would outwardly look like a Cultic priest vizier of the Hyksos but that was a period where characters were being repurposed. Absolutely Solomon would have Egyptian teaching of symbols and characters and wisdom through his own language and reformed Egyptian culture. Many say reformed Egyptian doesn’t exist, but the camp of Israel, even the Ark of the covenant is physically manifested reformed Egyptian for a restored religion.

    What’s interesting is that this wisdom literature of Proverbs parallel’s Egyptian wisdom literature, what the king is learning is the scribal training from Egypt from the Middle Kingdom, and 4:18 there you just mentioned it 😆

    So I've learned something new about the word "navel" in Hawaiian.
    "Navel" in Hawaiian is called "piko", which means" the end", or "source of energy and knowledge."
    "Piko" is also used to describe "good health" in Hawaiian. Which suggests revelation pouring down from heaven to all of God's creation. Just like light.
    There are 3 pikos that are very sacred to the Hawaiian people. The "reproductive system," "belly button", and "the crown of the head". These locations of the body suggest that we receive constant nourishment from the navel of the belly and the navel of the head.
    Triple piko
    We often refer to our belly button as our piko. It is the tangible remnant of the connection to our mothers who nourished us through our navel the first nine months of our life. Our piko are found in the three centers of our body and encompass the connection and kuleana we have to our past, present and future. This fluid connection is known as the triple piko and is a spiritual, emotional and physical foundation of ‘ohana wellbeing (Becker and Vanclay 2003: 122). The piko po’o is the soft spot at the top of our heads when we are babies; also known as the piko aumakua, it is the piko that connects us to our ancestors, their beliefs and values. Our poʻo is the place where ʻaumākua hover, it is the symbolic umbilical cord between the mortal human and their immortal ancestors. Our piko waena or piko ‘iewe is the navel through which we are bonded to our mother and immediate family; it is the closest piko to our naʻau, which is the center of our present knowledge and emotions. The piko maʻi or piko ‘iwi kuamoʻo is our reproductive organs, which create future generations and by extension, all that we create and establish.
    Hawaiians believe we have three pikos. The three piko connects us to the past, present and future. The three piko also represents mind, body and soul. Or telestial(Holy Ghost), terrestial(Jesus Christ), and celestial glory(HeavenlyFather). It's a symbol that connects us to the three key elements, water, land, and sky.
    "Piko" also means "bend". Suggesting that by bending the knee or bowing the head is a way to receive constant nourishment. By doing these acts of humility. We are allowing God to bless us completely. From head to toe. These pikos are pathways to greater light and knowledge both temporally, mentally, and spiritually.
    Now let's combine piko with the head.
    Po'o and manawa are used interchangeable. Which means head.
    Mana means power
    Awa means harbor
    So manawa means "time/eternity," "power harbor"or "place of Revelation"
    Now if we break down po'o to po and o'o we get
    Po which means "night; the realm of the gods; pertaining to or of the gods; formerly the period of 24 hours beginning with nightfall (the Hawaiian “day” began at nightfall) and Po'o means" head or the head; the summit; ke poo o ka mauna, the top of the mountain."
    Suggesting "beyond the night sky, beyond heaven, or beyond the veil".
    O'o is a type of bird, a honey creeper to be exact, endemic to Hawaii. They are recognized by their nearly all black feathers, but the o'o have tufts of yellow feathers under each wing. Those feathers are extremely prized to feather workers. and were used to create the clothing of the ali'i(cheifs and priests of the Hawaiian Culture).
    So po'o has a deep relationship with Isaiah because Isaiah mentions that we will receive our wings like eagles or garments from on high.
    So the word po'o is about receiving revelation from on high or receiving wings like eagles from the heavens.
    Now if we put naau in front of po. We get naau po which means filled with darkness or dark heart.
    Ao= cloud or covering
    Na'au = heart
    Na'auao= wise or covering of the heart or enlightened or pure love or embrace the heart
    Luke 6:
    45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
    JS Matthew 1
    37 And whoso treasureth up my word, shall not be deceived, for the Son of Man shall come, and he shall send his angels before him with the great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together the remainder of his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

    Job 40
    16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
    Proverbs 3
    6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
    7 ¶ Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
    8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
    9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
    10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
    11 ¶ My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:
    12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
    13 ¶ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
    D&C 89
    18 And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones;
    19 And shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures;
    20 And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint.
    21 And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen.

      @@talkingscripture sorry I got excited about Proverbs 3. Especially when you mentioned about the "navel" which means "piko" in Hawaiian.
      I've been so fascinated with the spiritual connection of my people(Hawaiians) and the Hebrews. I've been discovering so many gems with my culture and its deep roots in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe the Hawaiian language is reform Hebrew and Egyptian.(The people of Hagoth)
      For example, Aloha.
      Aloha means companionship of breath or the breath of life.
      breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, Gen. 2:7 (Moses 3:4-7, 19; Abr. 5:7).
      in whose nostrils was the breath of life, Gen. 7:22.
      In whose hand is … the breath of all mankind, Job 12:10
      the breath of the Almighty hath given me life, Job 33:4.
      thou takest away their breath, they die, Ps. 104:29.
      His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, Ps. 146:4.
      he that giveth breath unto the people, Isa. 42:5
      I will cause breath to enter into you, Ezek. 37:5.
      breath came into them, and they lived, Ezek. 37:10
      OR
      Aloha also means hello and goodbye( I am the first and the last)
      I am the first, and I am the last, Isa. 44:6 (48:12; Rev. 1:11, 17; 22:13; 1 Ne. 20:12; D&C 110:4).
      Hebrew: El- God could be said in Hebrew
      Eloha pn:(Elo-ah)- God of Israel or Elohim
      "Eloha" pronunciation sounds like "Aloha". Suggesting that Aloha also means "God".
