Great video. BTW, the Drift King's name is pronounced "Kay - ichi Tsu-chi-ya". You also had his picture on screen instead of Satoru Nakajima's at 6:55. But aside from that, it was a video worthy of the legendary NSX.

The first use of variable valve timing was on the 1903 Cadillac Runabout and Tonneau created by Alanson Partridge Brush Patent 767,794 “INLET VALVE GEAR FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES” filed August 3rd, 1903, and granted August 16th, 1904.
VTEC is like having 2 cams. A slow rpm one and a high rpm one. The 2nd lobe has different timing as well as greater valve lift. Its a very reliable system.
Nicely done! Well done on keeping the video story simple, without going in to the many versions and iterations over the 15 years that the NSX was gradually improved - that's for another video, hint hint. What an amazing video man, this is a masterpiece. I can't wait to see you blow up in popularity one day. This video solidified my dream of owning the same NSX you have and also inspired me to give a like and sub. Truly amazing video work, keep it up man!
Agreed, this video is superb. Thank you for your diligently-crafted tribute. It's fitting, considering the subject. I've long dreamt of owning an NSX of my own someday, and plan to do so. I used to own its little brother: a '95 Integra Special Edition (in championship white), and what an incredible car that was. Would love to hear how you got your NSX, if you ever feel like sharing. Thanks again for your efforts and your time, man.
Um, I would like to say that the NSX is STILL more reliable than modern super cars! Modern super cars became a bit easier to drive, and more comfortable....but they did not get more reliable because, if they did, there would be more of them actually being driven. Lamborghini and Ferrari have NEVER truly cared about making reliable cars, they just make art pieces and that is the end of it. Ferrari himself, only cared about racing and practically hated his customers that bought the road cars. Ferrari never really bothered to step up their reliability on the road because their customers rarely drive their cars. And, those that did try to drive their cars regularly found very quickly their cars were, well, garbage even now.
Not a bad video. Teleprompter work is needed and if that’s your car we want to experience your emotions about such a supercar icon. Congratulations on a great car.
Fun fact there were 991 likes when I started the video, now there are 992 likes. Little Porsche joke hee hee. One should always immediately like an NSX video before watching. That's just good manners. There can never be enough content on the NSX, which is essentially the McLaren F1 for the everyman.
If you want to do a video on the car that most changed the supercar industry, do a video on the Tesla Plaid. Actually destroyed motorsports as we know it. On the street, it is untouchable period. It humiliates all the exotic cars we once thought were quick including multimillion dollar hypercars! The NSX is beautiful but dramatically underpowered compared to the Plaid. Excellent video by the way.
Car Design story - I worked with a guy who worked at Rover-Honda 80s era. The designs were a joint venture with the two brands, just look at the history. The NSX was actually the MG EX-E (I think it’s called) concept from the 80s. Look at the proportions/design and it’s clearly the NSX. He said the Honda partnership went sour and Honda had all these ideas that they stole. The story goes that they went to pinifarina with all these designs to clean up and come up with a slightly different modded version as the Rover studio were basically designing the Honda cars before. This chap was one of the designers on the EX-E and said how over night the guys in Honda basically stole their design/idea to produce there own supercar. As a automotive designer, it pains me to say this happens quite often in our field. But if you get a chance to edit the video, add a little mention to the MG concept from the 80s
That is very interesting in all my research I hadn’t heard that story but after looking into it the proportions are bang on. I will most likely make a video about that car and talk about the Nissan mid4 because they both seem to be what actually inspired the NSX design and to me car design is fascinating
@@driftindonuts Definitely! Fantastic video btw, try to get some designers if you can during that time. If you ever get a chance to do the S2000, that will be fantastic.
