Hi Miriam, I totally recommend Lady Killer. I really enjoyed the first series of that book, and am slowly enjoying the second series,...but, it's taking a bit longer as the single issues aren't really coming out on a timely basis. The artist, Joelle Jones, is a total sweetie,...she's super nice and incredibly talented. I have several books autographed by her, and she even did a quick head sketch once for me. Anyway, I hope you like it and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Good Haul! I'm probably not gonna tell you anything you haven't been told already, but New 52 Wonder Woman (Vol 1-6), is freaking awesome! I remember I went into it completely blind, and I ended up just binging vol 1-6, because of how good it was!
I read volume 1 and 2 of the New 52 Wonder Woman. It is okay so far. Yeah the George Perez Wonder Woman Omnibus volumes 1 and 2. Get those, they are from the 1980s. It isn't super super old. I recently read Hellblazer trade volume 1 Rebirth series. You would probably like it, it starts slowly but has a good plot.

I'm a huge fan of Laura, X23 and I'm pulling this new series. It started off strong but I've been dissatisfied with the current arc. Earlier stories of X23 portrayed her more vicious, focusing on her trigger scent. I highly recommend the arc Dakken vs X23. Dialogue and action is solid.
Great looking haul! I guess the difference in fonts when Thor and other asguardian characters talk is to distinguish their more english accents from the usual american accent of other characters. I might be wrong but it's what I have been thinking when reading that font in comics. Happy reading! :)
New 52 Wonder Woman is awful, sadly. Brian Azzarello brought in a lot of misogyny. He tried to make Wonder Woman this really, not dark, but a character that's morally gray, and it would've worked, and I would've gotten behind the idea of that. It's something that's interesting to explore if done right. But he gave Diana a father, turned the Amazons into rapists. The Amazons of Paradise Island, peacemaker, were turned into rapists. WTF. Meredith Finch's run wasn't so great either, but it's appreciated that she tried to fix all of Brian Azzarello's crap. Also, if Cliff Chiang had stuck with every issue, the art would've made me enjoy the gray af New WW a bit more. But still not over rapists amazons. UGH! why? no! just no! And also, you know how the Lasso of truth is considered to be a weapon that's not supposed to make people afraid, and was bestowed to Diana by her matrons? Well, Brian Azzarello decided to turned it into a blood thirsty weapon and had Hephaestus give it to Diana
Ok now that I have read it my self I can answer =), I liked it, it was okey, but not as much as all my friends did. I am not that into greek gods so I don't know that much about them but I was surprised that Wonder woman had so much of that in her comics... Yeah giving her a father was weird... but the rapist thing? I am not sure if that is in the first volume? Because then I missed it :/ but that do sound bad. I actually liked the art by, Tony Akins , thought it was fun =) but like I said, I have only read the first vol so havn't gotten to the Lasso parts yet! ^^ Will try vol 2 and see what i think.
LOL I think that most of the stuff I mentioned is introduced on Vol. 2, sorry. But hey, you can now go into it acknowledging its problems and enjoying it better than I did :P Again, sorry. Rebirth WW is better btw lol

You mentioned the "Thor-font", and it seems like all the Asgardians use that font, I'm wondering if it's done to signify All-Speak or something. Btw, I was wondering if you're excited for the America (Miss America Chavez) run that starts soon? I feel like it's going to be glorious! :D

John Castiel Vol 1: I Can Explain is a self contained story, or a 5-issue mini-story, whatever you want to call it. The series was canceled, so you might not want to read Vol 2 (which collects 6-8 + some New Avengers issues) if you don't like cliffhangers but Vol 1 is a good book and great story and definitely worth a read in my opinion.
