    Silver Era is probably the best era to represent the best look to natural human perfection balanced with health and fitness and should make a comeback into the sport of bodybuilding 💯 it’s gone down hill since dramatically and it’s not about health and fitness at all anymore sadly.

      @BeastAesthetics 'Silver Era is probably the best era to represent the best look to natural human' 😄 Wake up man. There are a lot of articles about the beginning roids.
      "In 1923, the Shering company (Berlin) collected several tens of thousands of liters of police urine, from which the chemist Adolf Butenandt extracted the breakdown product of testosterone (later called androsterone). The method of obtaining testosterone turned out to be quite complicated, so Butenant invented a more profitable way to synthesize testosterone from cholesterol. A description of its method and structure of testosterone was published after August 1935 in the Journal of Physiological Chemistry.
      In 1935, Ernst Laqueur, a professor of pharmacology in Amsterdam, became the crystalline form of the male hormone, calling it "testosterone" "
      So, if somebody tries to convince you that the Silver Era of Bodybuilding did without steroids (not so strong compare to nowadays, but) just spit him on him.

    I've been a full body man for most of my lifting journey, so I'm familiar with the guys of the silver era. When i heard Pavel on Joe Rogan's podcast referring to the guys in the silver era that had this figured out with strength and putting on muscle got me researching the history of training. I felt it was worth learning. That's how I came across your chanel. I'm interested in how different the training was from the bronze era into the silver era. Anyways, i enjoy your content.

    I really like bronze age. These guys were not only built, but were strong as well. Ofcourse not in standard lifts like today but in unorthodox lifts. What i see missing in later stages of bodybuilding is that strong oblique (often giving square and not v cut look to misd section) was frowned upon. But strong obliques were the defining feature of strong core and also of a ideal greek physique. In later stages big emphasise on big chest was also there, but i would say strong shoulders, core and triceps looked better on normal strong human physique. Ofcourse I love every kind of bodybuilding, from visual point of view (golden, modern, silver, etc) and for amount of hard work these guys put in their physique to match standards of their times.

    Big Ramy is EXTREMELY impressive - flat out freakishly huge - but, IMO, not so much a bodybuilder as a 'most muscle-least fat' competitor. The aesthetic of the wide shoulders and lats tapering to a small waist is an essential ingredient of what I think of as bodybuilding, and I think that's better represented in Classic Physique. A lot of those guys would have been open competitors in the 70s.

    I divide the three eras in this manner: the "Bronze era" from the beginning of Professor Attila's career to 1928 when the single arm lifts were dropped from Olympic weightlifting, the "Silver era" from 1928 to 1958 with the commercial availability of Dianabol, the "Golden Age" from 1958 to to the 1980 Olympia.
    However to me the "Bronze Age" is the true golden age and the "Golden Age" is the true bronze age. The era of the "mass monsters" was/is the "Age of Lead"

    IMO the silver era was the best. Bronze era looked like a very fun time through optimization learning and trying things out, silver era improved upon it with more accessibility, and the golden era maximized the body’s potential from the knowledge passed down previously but coupled with the use of drugs.
    Unfortunately, the golden era also took a turn for the worst with marketing, worthless optimization, and drugs. The golden era influenced the shitshows you see today.
    But yeah, just look at those dudes from the silver era. Who wouldn’t want to look like John Grimek, Vince Gironda, and Steve Reeves? Silver era was peak aesthetics imo.

  • @NBDYSPCL
    @NBDYSPCL 3 года назад

    Can you say that the people of the Golden Era were completely natural with 100% certainty though?
    I believe certainly the steroids taken in the late silver and golden era were not taken, and you can say that they may be indicative of natural physiques but i think its hard to say that they are with 100% certainty.
    No hate, i love the goldnera and think we should be revisiting the information from that period .

    I like the way you categorize the different Eras , Bronze, Silver, and Golden. You give a nice detailed summary of each Era. The Bronze Era was based on naturally strong men lifting heavy weights. Those strong men were pioneers and ate a simple basic diet. The Silver Era brought more of a complete development of the physique and different training routines. I agree, they set the standard for the Golden Era. They combined whole foods and supplements. The Golden Era had bodybuilders using super sets and compound sets and achieved complete development. They learned from the Silver Era but took it one step further. This is great information that I just learned by watching this video. You gave us a short history lesson on bodybuilding. Great job.

He wasnt overtly vascular like todays guys, the vascularity are graniness of todays bodybuilders does look visually impressive but at the same time it looks so unnatural, unhealthy and unsustainable.
