Sorry you didn't find anything good. The walk through the country was beautiful. I'm glad you shared it with us. Back home in Idaho where I was born up in the mountains there are places like that. Even though I love where I live there isn't much like that here. They call this area Sand Hills lots of sand stone here mixed in with the iron it's boring rocks unless it's a fossil 😆. Thank you for sharing your videos I really look forward to finding a new one. Much love to your family Ms Michal 🙃☕💖💖🐚🐚🐌🐌😅
Hey! Loved the vid as always! Sorry for not commenting on your last one! I think the little bits of things you found stuck to that last deformed gastropod would be broadly classified as microfossils! Some people collect them and study them under a microscope after separating them from the sediment/ Matrix they are found in! Also have you looked into acquiring a crack hammer and or geological Hammer and cold chisel's so that you can separate fossils from their Matrix in the field? There sometimes a pain to carry around with all the other gear but I've found that sometimes there all the gear you need (next to a sturdy pack and provisions)!
It's funny that you mentioned the tools, because I bring some with me, nothing very specialized, but they put some weight in the backpack and considering the distance I sometimes have to walk, I have to think briefly about reducing the weight of it. When that situations occur that I discover many fossils, I sometimes have to leave some behind because it becomes very difficult to return home with the extra weight. I have to see if I invent something to replace some of the tools and make it easier to load. Thank you for your comment!!
Large pepple? That looked like a concretion. And the first piece of limestone was a large ammonite. Seems like an interesting spot. Any creeks or gravel wash areas near?
I belive that nearby there's a stream of water, but I have to confess that in all of these years of fossil hunting I only came to that place once or twice.... I have to explore that a little better I guess. 😊👍⛏⛏⛏🐚🐚🐚
@@zejurassico Have you found any marine fossils with odd deformations where they appear to be bent or have spots where the fossil looks pushed in? Sometimes there will be a fingerprint like mark in the center like an impact crater?
Frank de Rooij I use a canon camera ( old one) and I belive that some water enter in the camera because some audio parts of the video we ear some humming sound... I realy need to buy a go pro. Thanks for the comment!!
Gracias Fanny. Si usted quiere algunos pases en mi página FB (Ze Jurásico) y mandame un PM que tal vez puedo enviar a algunos qué teno por aquí. Ya hay tantas que no puedo salvar a todo el mundo. hehehe!
Hi, nice fossils, the rudists you did found are species of Caprinid forms (Neocaprina, Caprinula, Caprina genus, also on 12:30 this spiral shaped fossil specimen you thought it's a gastropod, no, this is not a gastropod, this is also caprinid rudist but here with both right and left part of shells joined together, because joined shells of caprinid rudists look just same like this. The specimen you have found after this, are real gastropod and it belong to ampullinid family. On the end the piece you found are some oyster species. And according to this fossils, this your site is almost for sure Cenomanian stage of Upper Cretaceous. Couple years ago I also discovered almost the same types of caprinid rudist like this yours in this video (hercegovina-geoarheo.blogspot.ba/2013/04/jugozapadno-od-meugorja-otkriveno.html ) Greetings from Herzegovina.
Wooo! This is super detailed information. Thank you! As you might imagine, I am no expert, I have this hobby and I am learning with the passing of time. I just have to point out is that the fossils of the rudists do not seem to be from that place, they were transported there to build the road. Only the last fossil (the one I confused with a gastropode) I belived to be from that place. The information you gave me was super useful and allows me to grow a bit more in terms of knowledge. I've been watching your blog and it's very interesting. Thank you very much!
Great video i found alot of similar fossils but here in the USA New York state has alot of sea fossils all over place plus ancient reptiles and fish? Oh and i also found alot of interesting fossils in Florida at the Peace River and in Sarasota coast🐺
Normaly I try to find places were there are exposed bedrock, like a slope of a hill or a road cut, then I will try to see if there are something diferent from the pattern of the rocks, something round shape or diferent. Look for sedimentary rocks, like limestone ( more chanches of having fossils ), and above all be safe and be carefoul.
Great video beautiful land. Towards the end you said somehing I prabably heard wrong but, it sounded too funny. It sounded like you called a rock robo squirrel....thats funny.if not then I apologize for embarrassing you. I'm going on 65 in June and my hearing catches me off my feet if I am wool gathering (not paying attention) instead of listening. I always enjoy your videos because you are fun to watch. I would never have guessed you were a pessimist. You always are like we can go to another place I know. A pessimist is like "Holy CoW Batman there are no more fossils in the world what are we going to do." Batmans like " to the Batmobile" Robins about to cry "Now what do we do you have a great plan right" Batman looks at Robin and sighs " no Robin theres no plan. It's what we always do. Jump in the Batmobile and take a ride" ...."Sooner or later the writers tell us what comes next" ....."I hope they call soon I'm almost out if gas." See your not a pessimist. If you were low on gas you'd pull to a shady spot and think instead of running your car out of gas lol. I hope you liked my joke lol. Have a great day or evening.😸😀☕ 💫🌟🐚🐚🐚💖💜Ms Michal
Well, my pessimis is something that is with me since I remember. It's a long story, but I have to say that I begin my journey in the fossil world when I was passing though a bad phase in my life, and decide to start hiking... but that is a big story...😊😊🌲🍁🙏
@@zejurassico I am happy you found solid ground and away to enjoy life again. So many just get stuck and can't seem to get unstuck. I too have been at the bottom of the barrel one thing I knew for sure. The only way out was up lol. Well my friend I am off to adventure in Portugal with you and one of your movies. 😽😉☕🐚🐚🐚🐚👏👏👏Ms Michal
Tengo amonites, erizos ,turritelas, distintos tipos de conchas, una muela de mamut medio quebrada, unas vértebras no se de qué son ,una uña de algún tipo de dinosaurio y otros huesos que me encontré en arroyos de Chihuahua
Closest fossil good in indiana is the trilobite. And theirs horn corals And seashells Forgot is name And ice age mammals And fish teeth Thought I found trilobites, coral, seashells and that other thing I forgot its name . And that is it.
Milton Dye Yes, I belive one of this days I will find something diferent and special. Until then I hope that you like the landscape, the curiositys, the jokes and my beloved country. Thanks for your comment!
Hey ! But the last one is a fossil oyster!!!!! You have not recognized the growth layers, you see well in front. The shape and weight are typical!!! (Use the translator) go back to get it!! From north East Italy.
Well, when one is a beginner as I am, I wouldn't say this is a waste of time....I learn something from all these videos.....I appreciate everyone......

Depends of the specimen and the type of rock. And sometimes fossils are priceless ..😊👍

Lololol. I understand, but my main focus is in fossils...
It also looked like animal had made it home and shit in it 😂 made me smile pretty purple red coloration
I hear a beeping noise? Was it your phone? Good video still.

I saw a four leaf clover
