the fact that it's a sandwich place , it's 2024, and they only have one kind of potato chip?? why can't they figure this out? i don't want a piece of bread with my sandwich.
Oof, what a fall from grace for Panera. When I first had their food back in like the early 2000's they were actually pretty good in terms of quality and price, but now their prices are absolutely ridiculous and the quality has not held up to previous standards.
@@nicoleackerman205even then they still had a decent menu in 2015-2020. I'd say Panera finally went to 🗑 🚮 this year when they took off their last good menu items like the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad, Steak & White Cheddar Sandwich and BBQ Chicken Ranch Salad
got gifted a $50 panera card, went there and spent $25 on two sandwiches and didnt end up liking either of them. still have a balance on the gift card and havent been back. even their cookies were hard as bricks. hell to the no to me ever going back there!
Panera's food tastes good but they're ridiculously overpriced for such small portions. Don't know how that business model is sustainable in this economy.
And then the chain has audacity to sell its soups and what not at Wal Mart, again overpriced. It would be funny if this was fiction and a movie or novel, but it’s actually real life lol. Ridiculous
I worked there around 2011 and it was very good. But they kept discontinueing the best items and adding weird BS nobody asked for. Now they only have a few classic items I would go for.
Stopped going when they removed the cheese pastry from the menu. The bs tray thing that has the plain and the berry pastry tastes completely different and is really just trash.
I cannot believe their prices. That's why so many locations are closing. The last time I went I almost shat myself with the prices. No way. Never again
THANK YOU for always keeping it real bro!! I was really hungry one evening, so I went on Uber Eats after a long day in the office. I came across Panera and thought "Let me at least try to be healthy for a change and not big back". Bro.. those prices had me flabbergasted. I think I ended up ordering Wingstop instead. After going through your review.. money well spent LOL
Spread the word! If you must go to Panera, only go to corporate owned. Franchise locations are price gouging greedy people. Family Feast at Carson, CA store is over 90 bucks. Franchise owned. Corporate owned in Lakewood, CA FIVE miles away is 45 bucks. WTH!? I took this issue to the corporate office and to the franchise owners and was told gibberish. It’s offensive to me! Same exact foods, 100% markup. 😬 Revolt! Lol
Teterboro Airport has around 175K flight movements (takeoffs + landings) every year. No matter when you go, there will be planes going by every few minutes. Might seem quieter on some days compared to others depending on whether most planes are using the runway closest to the stores are the one on the other side.
I work in the city and there’s a Panera underneath a building I work in and I have the app and I be getting mad discounts and rewards, Panera is pretty worth it when you got the app and the sip club 👀👀👀
Stopped going to panera right before the pandemic hit in 2020. It was already going downhill at that point and starting to get overpriced for what you got. The crazy inflation lately has only made it worse.
The best sandwich that they have had is the almond chicken salad sandwich. Was fantastic back in the day. Even today, the ingredients are the same, but they put so much less chicken salad on it. Now, you get the bread, but a bunch of tomatoes and lettuce and a tablespoon of chicken salad.
Panera went private years ago and all too often that means taking on too much debt that they try to pay off by reducing quality and increasing prices. Supposedly they have been planning an IPO so maybe it will get better if there are shareholders to hold management more accountable although that is very iffy.
The prices definitely went up from when I use to work there, and even then it was pretty pricey. Now it's a little over $11 for just a bowl of soup in my area, it's so ridiculous.
I partially disagree. Yes, it's overpriced but not everything on their menu is trash. Mainly, the sandwiches and bakery items (bread, pastries and cookies) which are much higher quality than your typical chain (subway, potbelly). Now the soups and Mac and cheese are definitely questionable but I understand their prices more than I do McDonald's since Panera actually has something to offer.
Was going to order Panera today... (for the first time, (buy some of the stuff you had) all i have to say. You saved me 15 onto 25 dollars, my good man 😂
I'm so happy you didn't apologize for your rating because you are right. Panera doesn't seem to care about its customers anymore. When it first opened, it had excellent food and service, but its service has gone way down over the years. Whoever the CEO of Panera is, they should make an "Under Cover Boss" visit and clean up the overpriced mess their managers have made of their business.
I recently had to go to a physician pavilion building that happened to have a deli. I payed 8 dollars for a full sandwich stuffed with meat and cheese using boars head meats that was absolutely delicious. If a small deli can give you great food and great prices then Panera can.
As someone who used to work for Panera, it’s not worth the price & most items are bag/heated items which I don’t mind but the consistency of soup temperature is SOMETIMES ignored though always checked before served. Y’all don’t know how crazy the pre church Sunday morning rush gets🤣
Yeah Panera is terrible. Really appreciated the little topic at the end. Nothing worse than seeing people engaging and in turn accidentally promoting hate online.
It boggles my mind that panera is still in business lol I went once and I left so confused …they closed down a year later. These American food chain restaurants never last here in Canada 😅
For a casual franchise, it was pretty good in the 2000s and the early to mid 2010s. It was still decent in 2015-2020 but that's when things started going downhill
Panera used to have a southwest style salad that used to go hard! It had avocado in it and maybe black beans and tortilla strips but I don’t see it on their menu anymore. It’s all overpriced lol
i’m a manager at Panera and it used to be a Southwest Caesar salad, but when we changed our menu it went to the Southwest Chicken Ranch salad. Essentially the exact same thing, it just comes with ranch dressing instead of caesar
They put peppadews in the cheese steak because that's the only pepper they have in their store, they are to cheap to pay to have a proper pepper for a singular menu item.
Any "half" or side item at Panera is like a tiny morsel, for like 8 bucks. If you get the "full" size, because you're an adult, it's like a 12-13 dollar sandwich. A drink is like 2-4 dollars so you're pushing 20 bucks for a mediocre sandwich meal. NONE of the food is that good at all. A Wendy's chicken sandwich is more enjoyable. It's absurd that anyone eats there. They know they have people trained to go there as the "nice place" from when they used to be good like 10 years ago, so they are taking advantage and gouging while the quality of everything drops. For the price, the service should be Chik-Fil-A level, but it's more like BK. I hear the teens they got working there trash talking customers all the time. Their free wifi is pretty good though.
Panera’s prices for mediocre food just make me angry. Plus, the last time I went a couple years ago (I only went because it was the only non fast-food option where I was at the time), they got my ENTIRE order wrong. I’m done with them 🙂↔️ 😂😂❤
THANK YOU, I’ve been saying this shit for years. Especially in the land of Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on Jersey bagel with a Arizona tea for around $10, why on Earth would I spend over $20 on a TERRIBLE breakfast sandwich at Panera, they don’t even use real eggs. Worst chain restaurant in my opinion.
I love panera though 😂 I usually get the same stuff because I don't want to get mad if I try something different. French onion and broccoli cheddar soup always a win. Sandwiches I get the bravo club or the frontega chicken sandwich. The bravo club bread is my number 1 because it's delicious and that bread is phenomenal
My fav and only thing I get from Panera is the tuna it’s 🔥🔥 I only had it in NYC but it was so good yet to try it in Jersey but I soon will. I may have to check out that 1st sandwich tho. Great content as well keep it coming King ‼️

I like some of the food there but I agree that they charge too much for the portion you get hence why I don’t go often, the chicken bacon rancher is my go to sandwich though and I agree it’s because of the bread
Honestly the worst part about Panera is the price. I wouldn't hate it that much if it didn't try to be something it wasn't.
3/4 all bread
Half a sandwich for 6 bucks LMAO.
I only eat Panera when my job orders it for us, I would never spend my own money on it though 😂😂
$8 for a cup of Mac and cheese when you can go to chilis and get a burger, fries, chips, salsa and a drink for just $3 more
I can go to BK or McDonald’s now and get nuggets burger fries and drink for $5.60. Your move, Panera
12 dollars for a bowl of max and cheese here in denver.
Lowering quality+Corporate greed= Terrible product.
to be fair every corporate is like this right now cause people keep buying
It's all bread

Since when did mayo become aoli? 2020?
Panera is the biggest scam in the 'fast food' game. Change my mind.

I never go there anymore. I use to love to get their salads but containers have gotten smaller with small servings! So overpriced!
the mac and cheese with the cheddar brocli soup hits period.
The buffalo chicken sandwich is also good as hell
I love your food reviews. You are very thorough and I enjoy your conversation after. You should make that a regular thing.
2 much bread , not enough fillings
