he went from the tip of Manhattan to the Citgroup Tower (601 Lexington Avenue) in 30 seconds. That's a distance of 5 miles. So, 10 miles a minute. Or, 600 mph. So yeah, it's about right. **Crazy how slow it seems after the Mach 10 video tho
This is about how fast United Airlines Flight 175 was going before it crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. (American Airlines Flight 11 was doing about 460mph when it hit the North Tower and American Airlines Flight 77 was doing about 530mph before slamming into the Pentagon)
The distance from the pier at Stapleton Heights to the tip of Battery Park (timestamps 0:44 to 1:24) is 9.3km and is covered in exactly 40 seconds. When you do the math, the ground speed checks out at 837 km/h or 520 mph.
I love your channel, but don't you think cruising by the Twin Towers is a bit inappropriate & may be a trigger for some, especially those that lived through it? I recommend that you update the skyline to what it currently looks like, not pre 9/11.
It doesn't seem as fast viewing it from the front, but when you view it from the side, that's a different story. In the entire video, almost 30 miles was covered in that short time.
If you will download a altimeter as well as GPS speed for airplanes as well as birds and you will find out after 9:44 p.m. until 12:44 a.m. most of the planes that you think are ordinary action fly at a cruising speed of 62 to 84 knots think about that 62 to 84 knots ot that should be falling out of the sky
It just looks so slow because it’s still quite far up, paradoxically. If he truly went on the ground, you would see that the 📷 is moving at about 700 feet PER SECOND !
Um, this isn’t visualized "from the ground." It’s visualized from the air at airplane cruising speed. Visualized from the ground would be a viewer standing - get this - on the GROUND, watching the plane go by 1,000 feet above them.
@@kachoww5981 I’m sorry that you don’t speak English, but I never said anything about WANTING to see the view from the ground. Get this - It means CLOSE to the ground so you have a point of reference in terms of buildings and streets, in the sky you have no real reference to tell how fast it actually is. Everyone seemingly understood this, apart from you.
