I am so glad you finally played the piano in one of your videos. I always wanted to see you play the piano which is ever present in your videos. You sang, too. I enjoyed this video very much. The content is always brilliant. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. You are golden!

Ha, ha, I wouldn't call that playing the piano, but perhaps for fun I'll do a little piano video when I have the time to get it tuned. Thanks for all you support!

Good summary! There is no way around hard work, patience and consistency in learning standards. Cute daughter.

That's true, but it gets a whole lot quicker and easier if you go about it the right way from the beginning! Thanks for continuing to watch and commenting!

Great video. It's remembering the chord sequence that's the problem for me. Years at this and still can't recall the chord sequence of even the simplist of tunes. Will try the numerical approach as you suggest.

I'd suggest watching a few of my earliest videos about the 5 ways to 1, and I did another one on Memorizing Music, and even "the jazz standard to learn in all 12 keys". The key to your problem is to take the remembering out of the equation. There are a finite amount of chord sequences or places to resolve to in tonal music. If you can isolate them and train your ears to hear the most common ones then you no longer need to memorize the chords. Assigning numerals will help too, but that aspect of it really comes in handy when learning to play songs in different keys. Thanks so much for your continued support!
