Don't confuse capillary action with transpiration pull. Capillary action is the spontaneous movement of a liquid through a narrow tube such as a capillary. Transpiration pull is when water is pulled up the xylem in the stem from the roots to the leaves. The key difference between capillary action and transpiration pull is that capillary action occurs due to the effect of adhesive and cohesive forces, whereas transpiration pull occurs due to evaporation.
Transpiration also occurs because of cohesion for instance if cohesion and adhesion did not take place the water molecules would break apart and the transpiration stream would not work
just finished watching this video and it was really helpful! But i rly think that if you maybe made a google document that people could access your slide shows or something like that it could rly be helpful, but of course this is up to u. Thank u so much for the help.
Because villi are present in your intestines and are responsible to increase surface area for nutrient absorption while root hair present in the roots of a plant increase surface area for water and mineral absorption
The cortex is basically tissue between the vascular bundles and epidermis. Its cells mostly store starch. In green stems the cortex cells sometimes have chlorophyll and produce glucose using photosynthesis.
@@ashokkumardevaraj3440 . So basically, the phloem is present always around the xylem. for instance, in the root, we can clearly say that the xylem is surrounded by the xylem. For better clarification. Search "Vascular bundles" to get a clear view.
Hello, I am Moses from Malaysia. I'll be doing my Igcse this coming Oct. May I ask help for some of the Bio topics? I had some difficulty understanding in my class.. Specifically, I need help for Syllabus #19 and 21
+Moses Lahpai Hi Moses ! Sorry my uploads are a little slow. I will try to get to those topics as fast as I can but a tip would be to go through the syllabus and individually tick off each of the learning objectives as you study through your textbook. I found it useful to make notes specifically in regards to the learning objectives too :)) Best of luck!!

We need more like you.
Is this for combined o level biology?
IGCSE :)
Great
but why can't root hair cell named as villa also

I PASSED THANK U BOI
What does cortex do?

i have a topic test tomorrow on this and i understand barely anything this has helped and hopefully will help me pass tomorrows test :)

Thank you so Much
you havent mentioned about transpiration pull and hydroststic pressure
hi, is there a website where i can download all your powerpoint? thx
Hi there ! Unfortunately there is not :(
excellently explained
too much love for you ❤️
Thank you, this helped me a lot!
+starfish peaches No worries :) Study hard and goodluck for your tests!
Sir, I think the diagram for a vascular bundle for leaf is wrong because the phloem is on top and the xylem is below.
No, its correct

great video

good lesson
thank youuuuuuuuuuu
Your videos are so amazing ❤️❤️ u are better than my bio teacher 🤭🤭🤭
amazing
You said the lead has root hair cells on it
he said it by accident, that should be understandable by anyone.
nice indeed
Thanks !!
