So the price point I think has a lot to do with the limited availability, and the hand craftsmanship. Same with the stealth mirrors by Rizoma. They are manufactured from a solid block of Aluminum. The FOV might not be great, but they are definitely a plus, for people that like the look. And bar end mirrors on a supersport.... I don't think they look good. Maybe on a naked bike. But I think the stealth mirrors are more designed to be used when in full tuck, not sitting in an upright position. Most people remove their mirrors completely, so it's nice just to have the option. Anyway, I know you aren't going to change your mind or anything, I just wanted to point out a few things. Because I personally love SC Project exhausts and Rizoma mirrors. yeah great story , but the only motogp connection it has is the name . the aprilia we can buy has nothing in comon with the motogp bikes . besides that , to let an engine run optimum you need a airfilter/exhaust/taylormade mapping and get rid of all the enviremental nonesense they build into it , not buy a brand thats alsoi hapen to be in motgp . its a hypejob and obnoxiously loud
Numerous great systems out there, and for the quality and $, Graves,Yosh, M4, & Arrow shouldn’t be overlooked. Arrow is the best sounding exhaust system I’ve ever heard on a GSXR750. I could never justify paying $2200 for a slip-on no matter who was endorsing it. I bought a race-only full system direct from Yosh for a CBR1000RR for the same $, and at the time they had only built 12 of them for pro race teams like mine. You’re 100% correct that those $ would be better spent on better tires, brakes, and track time. However, exhaust systems tend to grab the attention.
Arrow on CFMoto 800MT like my moto sounds awful it doesn't have a soul! So in the end maybe is personal preference?? I would love to hear all the exhausts on my bike so I could choose, but as far as my motorcycle I can hear only SC Project and Arrow and SC Project SC1-R sounds great in comparison to arrow.
@@SamuraiThePunisher shitcan the cat if you haven’t done so already. That will make a huge difference no matter which pipe you have. That’s hilarious. The way I convinced my parents that I will be safe on the road was by telling them that I will ride with my professor. We rode together and worked together for more that a year. I love how a PHD make everyone believes anything.
Dude you are so absolutely right about the rizomas... I've tried them on many bikes .. but frankly.. neither they give the look.. nor the "downforce", and definitely don't justify the price they come at... sure the quality is superb and all... but I would've preferred something more akin to the ones on the h2 atleast....
They don't look right on the bike. I've seen them on two or three bikes and I remember them always sitting wrong, and being at a weird angle. They don't look like H2R winglets at all, they sit on there awkward and you can tell it's well made shit, but it makes the bike look jank anyway
Totally agree! I have a Akra on my rsv4 as well and like the look of the GP-22. But $2.2k is seriously an unrealistic price point. A set of forged wheels would be a better buy at that point.
Yeah Titax aluminum forged go for about that, I saw some Galespeed ones that are actually full on forged magnesium wheels at that price. Those come out of Japan, I haven't heard too much but what I have heard was good.
@@adobomoto Carbon wheels have the biggest impact, not due to overall weight savings but due to where the weight is - instant increase in performance and agility and a great upgrade.
I think what Sc-Project is doing is correlating their prices to the price of the motorcycle. Meaning the higher the price for the motorcycle, the higher the price for the exhaust. Like for example, for a Yamaha R3, it costs ~$700 for the exhaust system. For a higher end Yamaha, like the MT-09, it costs ~$1200 for the exhaust system. And another higher end, the Yamaha R1 will set you back ~$1600 for the exhaust system. If we add in more rare or exotic motorcycles like the Aprilia, it will boost up the price massively. What Sc-Project is doing isn't good to the sense of the normal rider that will at most spend $20k on a motorcycle, but Sc-Project is pushing the fact that the more people are willing to spend on the motorcycle, the more they spend on the exhaust system/slip-on.
I don't think SC Project exhausts are overpriced. The SC1R slip on, for example, is comparable if not cheaper than the Akrapovic slip-on for the 2021+ Aprilia V4. The GP-22 though... It seems to be wildly expensive pound-for-pound. BUT...I don't knw what it takes to create such a beautiful exhaust and isn't price determined by what someone is willing to pay?
They are BOTH priced really high. The graves slip on is the better bargain, even better - if you like the small pipe look, the racefit growler is a better bargain
@@Victor_Moto both as in Akrapovic and SC Project - some of their stuff is premium pricing. Some are closer to standard, but honestly I don't see a gain from a full Ti Akra vs a Full Ti graves. I'll normally go with whatever is the cheapest option for my particular platform. I got lucky on my 1299s and my v4s - they both already had the 5k Akrapovic on them from previous owners.
Sc project exhausts set up for gabro up tune and it gives you more power and runs smother/better . tip .. go with sc project crt model costs 1000$ looks phenominal sounds phenominal .
You should consider buying one of each of these brands…you can return them later…and show them each to some of your welder friends and get their thoughts on seeing them each in the flesh. That would be dope.
i agree totally with the gp22 sc project exhaust, i think it is something like £1600 here in England. My problem with the cost of it is the actual size and the amount of titanium used to manufacture it would cost probably £100 - £200. I would rather buy a cheap Chinese knockoff of that end can which is exactly what i did with the stealth mirrors, the mirrors look cool on the rsv4 but their function for visibility is poor and can actually cause a safety issue as i was looking too hard with elbows flapping up and down for too long to see what was behind me.
Yoshi exhaust for my $4000 grom is up to about $700. Almost bought one just because it had the O2 bung for the tuner. Or their $1700 dual high mount….. Then found a nice quality Leo Vince with the bung for $295 new. Yea, I’m here talking grom on your sport page 😂.
There are a lot of folks here in my city with SC Project exhausts and knock off which say SC Project are amazing. They confuse loudness with amazing sound. I have a 1000sx with a Leo Vince Factory S Titanium end can and stock pipes with cc and resonator still on and it sounds just right. Its bass-ier than stock, improves the over all look of the bike, legal and does not destroy eardrums of people. This channel is amazing, I like the no bs content here - straight on point talk. Keep it up. You earned a sub.
I got the scr OPEN 1/4 ? exhaust as it hooks to back peg hanger (i got specific exhaust hanger ) sc project cost 1047$ full race model = no mesh = fully open .. why because it went in sync with the uptune . Sc project works with company who does the uptune and the tune is perfect . sorry tuner name starts with g ( been up all night lol)Gabro up tune and cr-t rear peg mount = phenominal tune worth 1061$
This is super true, for such a small slip on, 2200 is a lot. They just know their audience. SC is raising the prices accordingly to the hype. Good on them for keeping up with their demand
Agree with you! Way too expensive, just like Akrapovic now. Arata are back in business. Look them up! They were the real OG back then. All made in Japan. 😍
@@adobomoto same, but the Akra header alone in TI for the S1KRR is $2500 CND. LOL I can get a fulll Hindle, forks and rear shock revalved to my weight for this. No thanks!

As someone who worked for a really cool racing exhaust company i can say with 10000% certainty what is made for teams and whats sold to everyone else is completely different.
That being said, akrapovic is an OE manufacturer and will sell you great stuff. Yoshi is good too. But most of the other "race" brands are not selling you anything close.
yeah but when was the last time you heard so much about a rearview mirror...? Folks are talking about the Stealth everywhere. I bet we start seeing designs from others that have that kind of aero transformery feature, but cost less, which will be great for the market! So good on Rizoma for pushing the envelope at least. I think I want them, but like you, I don't $500 want them. Any thoughts on the MotoGadget glassless mirrors? Experience?
@Adobo Moto As a rider safety thing, not wanting to be run over, pretty high on the list. Bought a Vata7 LED backpack, its pretty fricken cool. Integrated running lights, brake, and turn signals in addition to a bunch of other features. I love mine, its comfortable, stylish, safe, and extra visibility without the hi-viz banana man crap.
I race and I rarely if ever see anyone with an sc project exhaust in my 1000cc class. It's 90% Akra on the track. MotoGP is a different story but those systems are individually designed for each bike each year differently. Gp looks cool but I only care about performance not looks.
@@adobomoto Akra has always been that way. I think I paid $1600 for their Evo full system on my '04 10R 19 years ago, and that was a "deal". Plenty of products like that though. Top of the line AGV helmets, with no face shield detents or closable vents selling for close to 2k. You wonder why you go in some bike shops, and every employee has a Corsair X, etc. on? I know I paid $450 from the Tucker Rocky vendor when they still carried Arai for my Corsair X with custom padding, and a dark smoke shield. Mark up on all of this stuff is next level. Then throw in all these yahoo's who get it for free so they can talk it up on here. I'm currently looking for an exhaust for my MT09SP. IMO the best looking one so far, is SC. I wouldn't even change the stock exhaust had Yamaha not left such nasty welds on the stock set up.I don't want to flash the ECU, I'm not chasing power, I don't want a louder exhaust. I just don't want a hideous one either...
I don`t understand the hate at all. I think SC-Project exhausts are by far the most beautiful exhausts on the market. There is a video online from Meddes with his RSV4 and the SC Project ...that sound is just perfect in my opinion. But i guess thats just me since I dont like Akrapovic at all, they are ugly af, extremely expensive and the sound is not what I´m looking for. Regarding the Rizoma Stealth mirrors, I think they are the most beautiful mirrors on the market. The field of view may be subpar to other mirrors but i guess thats not the point. Performance and looks are 50/50 of importance for me. Leave the stock mirrors on if you want, but they look like shit. A hardcase on the back of the bike may also be very convenient but looks like shit. I can agree with the point, that it is a good idea to spend your money on training and gear, but after that....
You wouldn't understand the hate bc you think Akras are extremely expensive when they costs probably half of the SC ''slip on'' lol. You clearly the ones that business freaking loves, easy money for them!!!
Out of everyone I’ve watched in the motorcycle community from Harley guys to pure sports guys you’re my favorite dude. I really appreciate how real and brutally honest you are in the way you talk about things. I ride a Harley currently and have been wanting to get more into sports bikes for a while but had no clue where to start, your channel has been a goldmine of info🫡
I'm a Yoshimura guy, that's what I run on my R6 and I love it. If I ever wanted to try another exhaust though, I would try graves. They've done a lot in the american road racing series!
The Rizoma mirrors are ridiculous. That's why the "off-brand" stealth mirrors have blown up so much on Amazon in the past year or two. They have their own flaws, especially for $30-60 depending on which ones you buy. But you still get the same look, for the most part. And yeah, visibility is crap out of them, but would you rather spend $30 on crap, or $500? lol
sc project pipe here in the Philippines are everywhere, you can see it on a Underbone Bike, Backbone Bike, even on some Streetbike Concepts you can see a SC Project Exhaust everywhere, and it's cheap also
I have a delkevic system (the cheapest full system) on my concours 14. I love it, it sounds great, made a difference in power, and best of all it did not break the bank.
Mines was about 220ish, slip on, link pipe, removable baffle, clamp, free neck tube. Said I do not need to remap my bike as well. The newer exhaust sound sounds more like. It’s a KTM 390 Duke Euro 5. It is on my channel if you want to see/ hear the comparison. The slip on is a fraction of the price and not an ebay knock off. Also the site is called spEngineering.
I put a CS Racing full system on my s1krr. It looks great and sounds amazing. Less than half the price of competitors. I hate when people buy the most expensive things and instantly think they're better people.
Basic ebay knock-off would do the exact same. The only real differences in slip-ons is the length (Shorty v. Long). That said, Leo Vince, Graves, austin... all really great
I got an SC Project full system for my CB650R, but I psie the exhaust 300 dollars 😁 The previous owner totaled the bike, it took me a total of 6 hours to restore it to mint condition. It’s a carbon fiber exhaust and I have to say that the quality I pretty good.
If you can’t afford or justify the price just say so dude.. I have sc project pipes on both my mv’s my Daytona and my r1, that were expensive, but it sounds INCREDIBLE and the workmanship on the MV pipes with the conical welded titanium is second to none. Not to mention the 6kg weight difference. Did I mention the sound? I don’t run them on my track bikes because I don’t want to replace them all the time. I do two track days a month, supermoto track days once a week - I invest PLENTY in my skills too - but I can do that and afford to have sc pipes if I want them. Don’t rat on a brand just because your life dictates that you can’t have them (whether that’s because you can’t afford it or can’t justify the cost - it makes no difference)
I did lmfao. Did you not hear me mention the price justification? Trying to flex on a YT comment section - just stop. It’s annoying. Move on with your life.
So id really like to know WHERE youre finding a graves slip on for 5-600 hundred bucks all while completely downing SC. I literally just looked up graves and their slip on was 900 bucks for my bike, direct price from there website.
If you're in the UK (I assume they post internationally too) and want a stupid loud slipon exhaust for cheap, SP Engineering. They're good quality, they sound fantastic, and they're basically just a glasspack to smooth out the sound of a straight-through haha.
My 1st gen FZ09 came with a full Akrapovic carbon system when I bought it. The sound is intoxicating! I like the look of the SC's and Austin systems but as an audiophile, dont care for the sound.
Idk if they are still around, but when I had my 08 gsxr600 I had a jardine GP1 slip on and it sounded sick and looked about as good as the SC slip on for like $130 at that time.
I personally like the rizoma mirrors but there’s no way in hell i’m spending $400+ on fu*king mirrors 😂🤣 it really hit me when you said thats 2-3 track days! Really love your videos keep em’ coming bro🍻
I have a full titanium Graves exhaust system on my 2016 Yamaha FJ09. Its absolutely amazing and I love it. I have a 23 Yamaha XSR900. I wish Graves produced something for this bike, however they do not. I went with a full system from Yoshimura.
I think it really depends on the bike. i agree that 2200 for a slip on is a rip off. i got an complete exhaust system from sc for 1200 for my honda cbr650r.
Got the Akra System for my R1 with the long Slip-on. For me its a way better option then SC. Better Perfomance it can be somewhat quiet, and thats Important here in Europe on our Racetracks. Germany, Italy and France

Nobody forces you to spend money on an item that you don't like or that you think costs too much. Personally I have a SC on my Street Triple and it sounds like a symphony. I will never change it. As for the Graves exhaust you recommend, it will cost much less but it looks like the muffler of a T-max 😀 Have a good street
I’ve been happy with my Leo Vince slip on on both my track CBR250R track and my Husqvarna street bike. The Husqvarna application is CA legal too. The CBR250R isn’t because the oe muffler is integrated with the catalyst converter, but it’s not a street bike anymore.
I have Akra on my RSV4. Came from M4. I debated about SC Project. But I didnt see it worth the money! Akra was similar in price and always has tons of R&D behind them. I run Akra on my CBR as well!
TBH, I thought the same about Akrapovic but snagged a used one for cheap and I can see why they sell for a grand new. That said, 2k is full system money. Plus installation and ECU flash.
Good observation!. I share the same opinion. People base it mainly on the brand as several products. I have a KO lightning exhaust that looks like the Sc Project and does the same job for $175.
another hyped af exhaust is the austin racing 2 of my friends bought the de cat exhaust for the h2 and both of them have the mounting flange weld fail and the whole thing falls off.
I do agree that the price is a bit high for a slip on, but the exhaust is constructed from titanium alloy, and it looks identical to the MotoGP version. Graves exhausts might be cheaper but the look hideous.
Lots of companies use titanium alloy including graves. Back when I first started riding over a decade ago we used to laugh at people with straight piped buckets. Now straight pipes are $2200 bucks and everyone is dropling over em lol
1000% there's far better options for aprilia than the SC GP or CRT. I wouldn't say they suck quality wise, every one I've come across range wise has good looks and welds (welders always shit on other welds, look at any welding video lol). However, akra full systems, mivv full systems, Graves full systems shit even the SCR1 destroy any shorty pipe. I have a CRT strictly cause the noise is just perfection. If I'm chasing horsepower or going into competition if it isn't a SCR1, it's going to be another brand that builds a full exhaust system.
I have been eyeing the SC for my speed 1200rs but it's $1200. I am looking at the Leo Vince for $450 slightly less of a premium looking product but probably similar sound. That SC looks great and I want to pull the trigger but....$$$$$$
I just bought the Racefit black edition for my 765RS. Waiting for it to come in. I think it’s worth $600 and it’s handmade full titanium. They also have one for the 1200rs, look them up!
Do you remember around 2006ish when TaylorMade exhaust came out? People thought they were soooo cool. Turned out to be a super crappy muffler that rattled apart behind a carbon cover. And people were paying like $700 back then for that as a slipon!!
I’ll be entirely honest, you’ve had some opinions that steered me away from this channel, but this won me right back! I’ve always laughed at the suckers on instagram who shell out enough money to buy another bike, just for a fucking muffler!
no worries man. I'm not the page for everyone and their moms. when I started to understand that not everyone is gonna like me or what I say, that's when I started to grow
i bought an exhaust of alibaba for $90 that id buy again three times before i buy that scp shorty, and buy anew suit helmet and a track day. i agree 100% with that logic
Both the rizoma mirrors and sc project exhaust can be purchased for a fraction of the price from ali-express. I have both, indistinguishable from the "originals" Cost for both: $200.00

yeah great story , but the only motogp connection it has is the name . the aprilia we can buy has nothing in comon with the motogp bikes . besides that , to let an engine run optimum you need a airfilter/exhaust/taylormade mapping and get rid of all the enviremental nonesense they build into it , not buy a brand thats alsoi hapen to be in motgp . its a hypejob and obnoxiously loud

Do you have a full system ?
@@arielsempertegui5476 yes
Does that mean also de cat ?@@matteo4282
This one is 💯 for clout. I love arrow. Ran a full ti arrow on my 2015 r1 race bike and 3/4 graves on my r1m street bike

THANK YOU for calling out the stealth mirrors too!! They look cool but I’d rather just run no mirrors and spend $20 on blockoffs than deal with them
you can get $20 copys of them that work great too....3d printed a piece to get them at a good angle on my r1 and they work fine
I keep telling people, unsprung weight savings is a game changer!
@@adobomoto Carbon wheels have the biggest impact, not due to overall weight savings but due to where the weight is - instant increase in performance and agility and a great upgrade.
2200 bucks Jesus
Many other manufacturers do that too. They know who they sell them to so they up the prices, because people are retarded.

@@adobomoto Both as in Akrapovic and SC1R?
@@Victor_Moto both as in Akrapovic and SC Project - some of their stuff is premium pricing. Some are closer to standard, but honestly I don't see a gain from a full Ti Akra vs a Full Ti graves. @Adobo Moto "I'll normally go with whatever is the cheapest option..." . Okay! Now I understand. 👍 Cool videos, I sub'd.

Speaking straight facts and some people are too insecure to hear it.

Experience?
Good point! No experience, but i’m a fan of tech that helps us have a chance at not getting rear ended.

And yeah, visibility is crap out of them, but would you rather spend $30 on crap, or $500? lol

Graves has been the top of my list for my Tuono.
another hyped af exhaust is the austin racing 2 of my friends bought the de cat exhaust for the h2 and both of them have the mounting flange weld fail and the whole thing falls off.
My buddy had powdercoat issues with his black one
Oh fuck yeah. What a shit exhaust. But i think sc project is good quality.
I want your opinion about other alternate choice then akrapovic exhaust? Is Austin Racing same quality as SC project?
But its an all-time favorite of our fellowmen down southeast, perfect for shitbox 110cc Honda Wave Alpha with missing fairings.
hahaha nice
