It's funny how the whole sink thing confused them. here in Canada almost every proper house (at least in the city ) has those sinks in the basement because that is what our laundry machines drain into.

In places like Missouri and Wisconson *USA* we have those weird basement sinks. But in places like Nevada *still USA* we have no need for basements so we don't have them.

The sink thing is true we have the useless sink thing in the basement here
it's for the washing machine. you hook the washing machine on a pipe on the wall above the sink, so that when the water is drained, it goes in the sink instead drilling a hole in the ground and dumping it in the gutters.

I like how Lewis and Simon are known for taking the piss, but Sips just does it so straight faced that its a whole different level of humor.

The crappy sink in the basement is for the water to drain out of the washing machine. There's a giant pipe connecting the washing machine to the wall above the sink so that when it needs to drain, it goes into their.

we have those sinks in Norway aswell. I have one literally in the next room but I can't remember ever using it for anything
