So many callbacks this episode, Kenny and ichigo repeating their conversation from hueco mundo with their roles reversed, ichigo beating down the 3 Quincy without using his sword like the 3 lieutenants from soul society arc, renji telling ichigo what ichigo told him after chucking rukia down from the execution stand. Amazing
It will always be wild to me that Ichigo's voice actor also played Whis. Man's range is insane.

The amount of adjustment in his power he was doing was super impressive. He had to constantly adjust his power because Liltotto has higher AP while Meninas is physically stonger than shikai Kenpachi. Yet he treated those two and the other two roughly the same. Do you understand the control he'd need to constantly shift so well between those levels? Even his first Getsuga was literally measured. It was weaker than Candice's attack. He made it only just strong enough to leave him unharmed. Even Ichigo versus Aizen wasn't like this. That Ichigo was strong, but he was accidentally destroying mountains. Here, he is not only dwarfing them, but able to control that power frightening well.

For me Ichigo's arrival here still doesn't compare to hype during his return to fight Aizen. Ichigo really showed his dominance when he facepalmed Aizen to a different area and basically embarassed him throughout the entire fight. Here, it's more like he's trying not to hurt the enemies and holding back A LOT and spent way too much time playing around with the enemies and didn't show any sense of urgency until Ywach opened the portal gate thing. Was hoping he'd turn on serious obliteration mode when they started trying to stop him from heading to Ywach but I guess it made way for the cool allies stopping them scene hahaha.
Yeah, but I think the main difference is in Ichigo's emotional and mental state during both.
During the Aizen fight, he was just done with everything, forced to attain a power that would cost him his soul reaper abilities.
But this time he's smiling and unburdened cause he's mentally and emotionally stronger than ever before while naturally regaining the power he had at that time without the worry that he will lose it after the battle.
That's what makes this one better for me, at least.
@@aether610 The reasons you listed is exactly why I prefer the Aizen one, The stakes felt higher and he's efficiently taking care of the problem while serving sweet justice after Aizen's terrorism without going "Oh noes Aizen pls dodge my mugetsu, you baka".
Here, we have the Quincies that have obliterated a LOT of Soul Reapers, caused a lot of damage, trauma, etc. Clearly has the intention of eradicating them all while being super taunty, killed genryusai (might've butchered the name). You'd expect Ichigo to at least give them a little lesson on what happens when they mess with the Soul Reapers upon his arrival, but he's messing around, Expecting them to dodge his attacks so that they, what, don't get disintegrated?
I'm gonna assume he either attained some empathy for them after finding out his bloodline, he legit doesn'treally care about what they've done to the soul reapers OR like you said, he's so OP and unburdened due to his strength so he's not stressed at all .
But yes, this arrival was an awesome display of Ichigo's newly found strength, his calm attitude, nonchalant-ness throwing out getsugas, but when you think about the dire situation they were in, you do have to question why Ichigo didn't handle business a liiittle bit faster so that he can head to and engage Yuhabahabahahaba faster.
Of course, this is purely opinion-based, so yours is completely valid as well hehehe
@@Mukatutu Well, that's just Ichigo being Ichigo against those that are following the main villain.
He did the same against the Arrancar he fought before Aizen as he only wanted to beat them and not kill them.
Ichigo has only ever wanted to kill a few villains he's gone against.
Aizen because he was a major threat.
Tsukishima who messed with his friends and family.
Ginjo for being the one behind that plan.
And finally Yhwach for being the one behind all the killing and for being the one that got his mother killed.
To name a few, anyway.
As for why he didn't do things faster, you gotta remember that in th manga it was a very short time before the other four arrived to fight Ichigo, the anime just makes it seem longer than it is.
Ichigo wants the enemies to focus on him, cause he knows he can handle them and the longer they have their attention on him the more time the rest of the Soul Reapers have time to rest and recuperate.
If he had known Yhwach was planning to dip the moment he returned, he most likely would have blitzed the Femritters to save Kenpachi then made his way to fight him much sooner.

The fight between Ichigo and the Babies got a lot of extension from what we got. In the manga. It was good but was hoping for the extension to be when they all tried to jump him

Soul King is literally more important than the whole world, even the Seireitei get destroyed and everyone down there dead, as long as Soul King is safe, then it does not affect what really important

to be fair Squad 0 is chillin if the seretei gets destroyed cause without a soul key they cant reach the soul palace. The only issue was that Ichigo didnt run down the stairs and instead broke through each barrier without giving it any time to regenerate which allowed Juha to make it up
Also the 0 division isnt allowed to go down without real reason or permission from the soul king as we saw ichibe got in one of the episodes

This episode had production issues, even then it was still decent. We are entering a recap ep next week. Hopefully the animation looks good in these final few episodes of cour 2.

I understand full well of the whole " Squad Zero protects the Soul Palace/Soul King ". Buttttt.. They ARE the last line of defense essentially. So why they wouldn't be prepared before hand is beyond me. Also, taking it back to the start of this Cour. If we all remember, they said they've been hiding in the shadows of the Seireitei right. Did Squad Zero.. NOT have any idea they were there? To have created practically EVERY aspect of the Soul Society that we know today. You'd think they would've known/had some kind of idea. Then again, they might've since they brought Ichigo up there to train. BUT I also know that uhhhh.. There was another reason for Ichigo's training due to spoilers sadly 🤣
basically Ichibei thinks Yhwach can't do shit against him... he does not care about the seireitei and the shot on his face in this episode showed he knew yhwach was coming. to them as long as the soul king is safe the whole seireiteu could die for all they care xd
Remember in last weeks episode Kenpachi called the NAME of his zanpakuto for the first time, and then during the flashback Kenpachi asked the little girl where she came from and she touched the sword, he then asked what her NAME was and she didn’t answer…then it cuts back to his shikai moment. That should give you a clue. I'm simply recapping what you already saw. It's there for us to see, and discuss. No spoilers here.
