In Australia it's pretty easy to get a fruit picking job, even if most of then are not really well paid and it's tough work, hot weather, back ache (you need to bend and carry a lot a weight). If you get paid per "bin" (the big wooden boxes), like I was, the boss doesn't really care if you're fast, if you get paid per hour they usually prefer guys quite fit.

Bad pickers I see here bruising apples left right and centre sitting on-top of a full bin wow guys... 2 people should be doing 2 bins in 1h I pick a bin in 30mins flat but I'm fast by myself must go fast from the morning because the heat slows gets to you and slowly slowly you get tired i live in Shepparton I been picking for 10years must move your ass to make good money 2 people pick 6 bins all day shit money $180 2 people $90 each lol I make 8 bin everyday 1oclock go home gets to hot some times more but 8 is enough go home rest the body
I farmed here too & have great memories of our campsite & everyone we met. Not so great memories of some of the mean Italian farmers 😒 slave labour & they get away with it. Extremely backward views & had to fight to get paid.
i've got the sensation we've been at the same farmer... Do you remember where it was the place you slept? i remember it was an awful place...an old big dormitory or something like that..but i'd like to find it on google maps!
@@Vardamir01 we didn't live on the farm we lived in Ardmona Caravan Park around the corner from it. I can't remember the name of the farm either the son ran it for his parents. I remember knocking on his Mams door demanding my payment & eventually got it. Horrific treatment. I do know some people that lived on the farms though & heard they were fairly awful

45 minutes or 1 hour if u fast picker. And 24 or 30 kanggaro bag to full 1 bin.
