- The nutria (Myocastor coypus), also known as the coypu, is a large, herbivorous, semiaquatic rodent. Classified for a long time as the only member of the family Myocastoridae, Myocastor is now included within Echimyidae, the family of spiny rats. The nutria lives in burrows alongside stretches of water and feeds on river plant stems.[8] Originally native to subtropical and temperate South America, it has since been introduced to North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, primarily by fur farmers.[9] Although it is still hunted and trapped for its fur in some regions, its destructive burrowing and feeding habits often bring it into conflict with humans, and it is considered an invasive species. Nutria also transmits various diseases to humans and animals through water contamination.
But in Czechia, we love them! :)
massiv attack
I'm happy to see people being kind to them. In Louisiana this is sadly rare. They are beautiful, intelligent little beings.
That's because they are an invasive species here in louisiana
@@wo4091they are in Europe too
Despite being an invasive species that often causes mass destruction. They’re pretty darn cute.
Master splinter abandons ninja turtles to go back to his family 😂
What a beautiful place. ❤
Beautiful video! I love the animals, the music and the scenery!!!
what a clickbait😂😂😂
I saw imprudence in tourists feeding wild animals and saw no attack at all.
That doesn’t mean you should not be careful around they’re still a wild animal.
Thanks very much for bringing that to our attention. I had no idea. Keen eye!
Miniature Capybara ❤

They are so cute
Rodents get a bad name but most are very friendly.
Are these things rats??
Another type of rodent, more like a beaver or a porcupine. Semi-aquatic like the beavers, webbed hind feet, good swimmers, native to South America - like capybaras, which are similar.
Their eyes snd nostrils are up high on their heads to facilitate swimming.
It's nutria!
Big ole nutria
Perception philosophy???
The teeth on that big one...
A nutria came up to me and my toddler today while feeding ducks, but I got nervous because the fisherman yelled for me to watch out. It was so sweet and waited but left when I kept walking away from it to look for food closer to the water 😭💔 I feel so bad now
