You are correct. As happened previously, when Leila has just drawn a card as a reward for the bonus, she forgets to draw for her turn (Kristin reminded her the first time, though!) Luckily Fluxx is a very chill game, and this obviously made no difference to their enjoyment. Good catch, though!
Great game. I love the "Name That Organ" Rule. It definitely reinforces the educational value of this edition.
