I like this version over the (console?) version. The lack of "guitar" makes the vocals stand out more, and it's less generic "rock" this way. More moody. Sometimes less is more~ This is my favorite version.

I find it soooo weird that they chose to take shadow’s songs from SA2. The poems were specific to the story and stages with shadow arguing with himself about what he was doing and how he was really feeling in real time. So using them again here feels VERY thoughtless. Tho not as thoughtless as them reusing “Supporting Me” which literally has lyrics where shadow talk about being free from his dark path and foreshadowing his own death with the live and learn leitmotif in the background. Also the lyrics being distorted and borderline inaudible was kinda the point. You have to listen closely to understand where as here you can hear them perfectly.
Wdym "Shadow's songs from SA2"? He doesn't exactly have much to choose from outside of that. His only unique song in Heroes was "This Machine", but that was moreso a character theme for Team Dark. His titular game, despite having a banger OST, wasn't exactly well recieved, but even so they remixed Westopolis' theme for Enemy Territory. Idk why you are so fixated on going to each of these vids and attacking these remixes, they are not bad songs and I think they demonstrate Shadoe's progression from SA2. There, he was confused, in emotional turmoil, and technically working with Eggman, so the lyrics were distorted and the instrumentation more varied. He is now much more confident in himself and is attacking an Eggman base, the lyrics now being clear and the instrumentation more aggressive, bringing the song full circle.
