The poor people are struggling so hard to feed their family , The Government who is doing nothing to improve the lives of its people , are now harassing them. This is the story of all Africa
Wanting to feed your family doesn’t give you the right to take away other people’s right/freedom. Gambians need to organize themselves and be responsible. There is trash everywhere, noise and chaos in public places. I don’t want to talk about the traffic. You can blame government but I don’t see any change coming until people start to taking up responsibilities.
Cleaning is the responsibility of the Government because the traders pay tax ( market dues) so if the government cannot do its job does that mean they are going to stop the people from doing their business? If the government cannot provide a place for them to trade while they collect taxes is that the fault of the traders?
The vendors should not sit on the footpaths that is common sense.
