I bought one yesterday. And shot it today what a smooth shooter ,nothing but smoke balls in the sky. This L4S is worth every dime i spent and the fabarm people are wonderful.

I enjoy all your videos, Drew, and this video is no exception. A year ago or so I bought a lightly used Beretta A400 Excel (blue receiver) with a 32” barrel. Recently I bought my wife a Syren L4S with a 28” barrel. She lets me shoot her Syren every now and then, and surprisingly I seem to shoot better with the Syren!

Great sporting gun, I’ve got 10,000 rounds thru mine. You can get some FTE’s and FTL’s when the gun is dirty. My A400 runs smoothly when far filthier than an L4S, so clean the FABARM regularly, or buy an A400 and clean it three times a year.

Great review, Drew. I concur with your opinions. I have the XLR5 Velocity AR, and I love it. I believe it's definitely superior to Beretta semi-autos. I bought mine at an excellent price, and I couldn't be happier. Also, Fabarm customer service is second to none.

I agree. I have two of the AR’s - one in black and one in silver. Love them, and customer service is amazing. Andrew knows what he is doing and he’s very responsive and efficient.

Please, make a video where you can show us how to properly unload the cartridges from the gun if no shooting has been done.

I got to try it the other day. Beautiful semi-auto, but unfortunately didn’t fit me well, otherwise it would have been on my list. Stock feels very thick and bulky at the comb and my eye was consistently off to one side.

Great review. I've always been a Beretta shotgun guy but my last were 391 series. Does this gun have shims for cast and drop? For me a huge reason to go semi-auto.

Thanks for watching! Yes, the L4S does come with shims to adjust the cast and drop.

Best semi auto ever? No. That said, FABARM makes an excellent high quality semi auto shotgun and probably the best on the market today. Still hoping Remington will bring back the 1100. Maybe someday.

Beautiful gun! Best semi auto ever, no! I have a Remington Versa Max and it has never had a hiccup of any kind no matter what ammo I put in it. I got it brand new for half the money the Fabarm cost and it’s American Made!!!

Would take a Benelli or Beretta all day any day over this. Nice gun but so over engineered. When the bolt is open you can hear the piston sliding back and forth which is not the most confident sound in a gun. Needing a spent shell to dislodge the charging handle is perplexing. I didn’t want to use a screwdriver in case I scratched the gun. By the time I disassembled this gun, I could have already completely cleaned my Benelli and put it back together. Speaking of cleaning, I was surprised at just how dirty this gun can get and how much oil is recommended for lubrication. Again, my Benelli can go an entire hunt season and still be cleaned in a few minutes with little noticeable debris. I may put a drop or 2 of oil in my Benelli if any… but the amount of oil used on the Fabarm is concerning as it is a point of collecting dirt and debris. All that said,, shoots nice but there are still better quality guns out there than this. Make your life easier, a Benelli or Beretta will give you a lifetime of flawless operations with their simplicity and rock solid operation.

I own a AL390 Silver Mallard from Beretta that has a free-floating piston. Fabarm is made in Italy just like Beretta/Benelli/Franchi. If it comes from Italy, it is most likely one of the best shotguns you will ever own. As far as oil usage, intuition plays a role in what you read and what is necessary. Gas guns are dirty, owning one requires extra work when shooting numerous rounds every year and experimenting with different ammo can help increase time between cleans. There's a reason most duck guns come ready to shoot out of the box with little cleaning or thought involved. This gun was designed for reliability, great patterning, and comfortability, none of which you gave useful information. Morale of the story: Don't give a bad review on a product that you haven't fully experimented with.
