  • This video shows the SI4730-D60 working on LW, MW and SW. Also, the FM/RDS feature works well.
    ATTENTION: The author of this video does not encourage anyone to buy the SI4730 for the purpose of listening to stations on LW and SW. If you really want to build a LW and SW receiver based on SI473X family, please aquire the Si4732, Si4734 or SI4735 devices.

" Estou interessado em comprar um kit de arduino com maior interesse em receber "allband/fullband". Nao entendo muito de radio ainda, perdao se a pegunta for tola. Qual receptor recomenda? Grato

      Porque na documentação oficial da Silicon Labs LW e SW não estão descritos como recursos disponíveis para esta linha de CI. Em meus testes LW/SW funcionou. Em testes feitos por outros experimentadores também funcionou. Mas não posso afirmar que funcionará em qualquer CI desta linha.

    I ordered two chips from different sellers Si4730D60 H can not run them with a quartz resonator. The chip is detected, but the current frequency is 0.0000. Only if I send a generation from an external generator, the receiving part starts to work.

      This problem can be a little complicated to solve. It can occur in many situations. I have observed that very few times in my experiments:
      When I am powering the system using the computer USB and the computer is connected to the grid, it might occur. Please, test your system using only batteries.
      If you are using the board Arduino Pro Mini 3.3V (8MHz), be sure you have selected the correct board on the IDE Tools menu, Processor: “Atmega328P (3.3V, 8MHz)”. By default, the Arduino IDE uses the 5V processor version.
      Check if the RESET pin of the SI473X and the controller are well connected.
      This problem also can be caused by the external crystal connected to the SI473X device (in general 32768K). This crystal needs a minimum delay to become stable after a reset or power up command. Currently, this delay is 10ms. Try to increase that delay by using the method setMaxDelayPowerUp.

      Tried all options. And even all together. Also tried on different controllers. About mini and Essp32. I also have Si4732 and Si4735. Everything works fine on them. Just a mystery why? They work with an external generator.

    Comprei um c.i. SI4735 e acredito que pra meu azar veio bichado ,desisti deste projeto e parti pro QCX só o receptor. Parabéns pelas suas montagens.

      Acho difícil ele ter vindo com problema. Já comprei de vários fornecedores. Nenhum deu problema. Por outro lado, o QCX parace ser um projeto mais robusto. Muito interessante.

    Can si4735 sketch using to si4730 module ?

      Yes, you can use the same sketch. However, if you try SSB mode, it will not work with SI4730.
