Never even heard of coral dipping when I first had a reef tank 13-14 years ago. I’m planning to add some corals to my new tank shortly so this video came at the perfect time!
I am an old school reefer that got out of the hobby for awhile and am going through this series as a refresher....I started a new tank /sigh. Anyway I would like to put forth an old trick I used for dipping. I used clear glass baking dishes, the cheap ones from the dollar store. To keep the temp up through the whole process I used a heating pad (like for a sore back) as these were water proof and could keep stable temps over all 3 baking dishes. The pads generally have a white cloth covering on them so you ended up with similar results as your mixing bowl trick.
Love your videos! I am new in this hobby and you are helping me a lot! Will add my first coral this Saturday. Already ordered a dip chemicals. Hope I can make it 😀
In my opinion for the basic dipping, Julian Sprung with his Revive solution is the original and the best for corals and even for anemone's. Dosing it for the type of coral it's treating is tricky at first but pretty easy to get a good understanding.
Hi my friend , I have EVO 13.5fish and corals , corals is softie and LPS I got the16 hd prime but they advised me to get the hydra 32 , do I really need to do that ?
That was a long list of gear! Haha. Also, for what it’s worth, I like longer 1 part videos much more if they’re under 20 min! I’d rather consume all the info at once then a week/few days apart.
