Iceland - crossing river Steinholtsa

After heavy rain, the river had completely changed and after much deliberation we tried to safely leave Thorsmörk, accompanied by the camp site warden, the bus and two other Defenders - thanks guys! The second significant ford was the Steinholtsa. When we crossed the river, none of us knew yet that a woman had drowned half an hour ago and was lying in the river 500m downstream :-( She and her husband got their car stuck in the river and tried to get back to the river bank on foot. They were just married and on their honeymoon :-(
