    At the end of May 1941 the Croatian Ustasha authorities have launched all Serbs from villages around the lakes and expelled them Dvor in Bosnia, "with the motivation that the Plitvice lakes and surrounding area, as well as Croatian spa town should not be a single Serb." Their houses local Croats were first looted and then torched the majority. All these Serbs were evicted by order of the great mayor of Bihac, Ljubomir Kvaternik. But after three months, when the Italian army occupied Liku, these Serbs returned to the ruins of their homes. Prota Nikola Bogunović parish priest in Tributaries, as an eyewitness says that the month of June 1941 expelled all Serbian families from all over the Municipality of Plitvice Lakes. All they had movable property remained in their homes. "One rainy night all the people, accompanied by armed Ustasha, was transported to the nearby villages requisitioned car directly in front of my apartment in the parish Tributaries. Chariot procession lasted three hours. All these people was expelled and left the villages of Bosanski Petrovac to Drvar".
