magic pen vs champs that dont build mr is really strong. they get bursted much harder. and he didn't build banshees for the magic resist but for the shield. it is very strong for kennen whos whole gameplan in teamfights is to flank and ult their backline, and they have a lot of abilities that can stop that here (qiyana ult, syndra E, alistar W) so the shield is really valuable
yep.. sad but sometimes it seems that on all servers the game already ends up with stress on route picks/trades and this mental nonsense happens But we'll never know :/

what about kennen's items O.o. Shield with mr vs 1 mage and voidstaff vs 0 enemy mr? do i miss sth here?
