Thanks for showing the Square DOT off Big Lew. Can't beat Thermoworks. I liked the average feature.
Great dot addition. Good for guests that like there beet etc at different temps. Nice post Big Lew😎
Lol, if my oven is off, I am getting another one! lol! Very nice thermometer, I really need to invest in one of those! I love my Oklahoma Joes drum cooker, but I don't truly trust the thermometer on it. That is a great product! Appreciate the video. Thank You for sharing on a Sunday! Bless you Brother.
It doesn’t have a remote read out but it is less expensive than those that do.
The power of two dots, it's the dot squared!
Now that’s good thinking! A lot better than Double Dot! Thanks man!
fellow-Ommg,insane video!have a good day-🤝
Awesome review thanks a lot!
Thank you.
Great review. I'm going to have to order a square dot.
Glad you enjoy the video. If you order it through my link in the description box of the video I sincerely thank you.
Nice review
Great review Big Lew! And I know your friend Lynyrd too! What about naming it Dot Squared since there are 2 probes! 😁 Either way, that average temp port is a good idea! And it looked to read the temps as advertised. And that chicken looked delicious! Have a great week!!!
We found the killers! do I get a reward?
SOLD !!!!!! Thanks BL .
Thanks Joe!
Thank you Joe!
That Bad Boy looks like a winner........sorry about the bad boy comment, I couldn't resist it. Thanks for the video, stay warm.

Thanks for watching.
For a indoor use (not grilling, stove/oven) what would you recommend between the SquareDOT vs. ChefAlarm? They seem to have a lot in common.
The square dot is well suited for indoor ovens. That was what it was designed for, yet it can work on stove top pots or outside bbq pits if needed. The ChefAlarm was also designed for ovens and stove top. The ChefAlarm has a timer function, it also keeps a record of highest and lowest temperature. However it only has one probe.
The SquareDot doesn’t have a timer or stopwatch function, but it has two probes.
@@BigLewBBQ Thanks for the reply and your reviews. Sounds like if you don't need the alarm or timer function (I use my phone or microwave for that anyway) there's not much need to get the ChefAlarm.
@@5DollarHoller I use the time for frying turkeys on it. That’s about it.
Does it take the temperature of the grill as
And how high does it
Yes one probe in the meat, the other can take the ambient temperature of the grill, smoker, or oven. Or it can do two meats. It had two probes. The regular DOT only has one probe.
@@BigLewBBQ So you don't know how high the temperature can go on the probe that sits in the grill
@@fablan3308 572°F or 300°C
it would be better if you could adjust the average temperature timeframe (e.g. average over the past 10 mins or shorter)
Maybe so
Cut to the chase please. Came for a brief demo, and got a 6 minute history lesson.
You can skip a head, you know.
There's a dot in the middle of the square
